Ok ... i make heavy ber 13 minerals all day without problems .... i make 14 fusions ...same deal

but im making deep crust chems now and 12 is the highest i am getting....at first i thought i just messed up in experiment but i tryed again...and again....and again.... i made 18 of these and all are ber 12 ... the efficiency gets up to 95%.....but wont ever hit ber 13 .... is 12 the new max or somthing on those?

2 main reasons for this...

If you haven't tried it yet then try using lub oil for the chemical. It does not have the HR, SR or UT stats so counts as null. This might make the difference.

Make sure that your turbo fluidic drilling pump unit is maxed out on percentages. Getting BER 6 might not be enough if you barely squeak by. Give yourself as much margin there as you can.

im using lubricating oil ... and my efficiency on the fluid drilling pumps is 95% with 6 ber .... im thinking they jsut changed it or somthing.... ive made 31 now ... all are 12's .... ut sr and hr are all over 920 on the resources im using ... hell most of them are over 960 ... using +43 craft station and +14 tool ....i tryred relogging .... everything

It sounds like you done what’s need to make a ber 13... Let me check this and see what I get, I'll let you know tomorrow.

reports of this have been coming in from all over. Nobody knows why this is!

Yep I'm having the same experience. I was reduced to ber 12s for my latest factory run after a few attempts to get higher using the same resources I have used in the past.

Dumb question for people seeing this kind of thing: Are you getting all great successes for your experimentation results? Or are you really just telling us that you're experimentation results aren't coming out well with a good or moderate success pulling down the average? Sorry for asking but I don't want to assume anything here.

IF your using the lube oil already as the chemical then the other difference between Heavy minerals and heavy chemicals is that the heavy Chemicals require ore in the final construction. you need to use an ore with the same good stats as the metal.. UT SR and HR otherwise that will bring your BER down. and also you need to get the Turbo Fluidiaic pump experimented as high as it will go. as that affects the final ber. I can uselly get em at around 93% and using good metal, good ore and lube oil i get a constant BER of 13 on these.

What was the % on your TFDP? To get a 13 reliably, you want that in the mid 90s.

I refuse to make heavy harvesters until they fix the **edit** things. 13BER for a heavy doesn't seem like enough when mediums are 10BER (12BER heavies are even more ridiculous).

Fix our harvesters already!!

Sure, who wouldn't want more resources. But the math has been done, even if you don't make as much per unit, you make more money off heavies. Even a 12.

Here is the way to make BER13 heavies. Use steel(duralloy) or iron(kammris usually has these stats)with UT SR HR at 950 or so. Lube oil(no stats)or any inert chemical with UT and SR at 950 or so. MAX MAX MAX out your experimentation on ore mining units etc. THIS is extremely important. Even if u get 6 BER on these at 80% they need to be at 90%+ or so to get BER13 final installations. Any ore used in final should have at least 2 out of 3 UT SR or HR at 900. One can be at 600 or so and u will get BER13's. The most important thing is maxing out your experimntationon mining units, harvesting mechanisms etc though. It also helps to have an extra experimentation point and assmebly tapes to help with crits. I have 11 experimentation points and 110 assembly and i still have crit failures one out of 10 i make probably.

Some great steel popped on Bria a few days back. HR25%/SR25%/UT50% averages out to 975. I just finished making a batch of TFDPs in my factory at 95%*. I'm doing a run of generator turbines right now. Tomorrow I'll probably build a bunch of heavy chem and gas harvesters. I'll let you know what my results are.

*for some reason, I was able to rather easily get my OMUs to 97%, but after half a dozen attempts at the TFDP, I only got to 95% and decided to be happy with it rather than waste a bunch more materials trying to squeeze out another 2%.
