OK I've been to different web sites FAQ etc can I get answers to the following questions;
I found the following statement;
Fusion Generators are use to produce power from Radioactive Material. Survey using a Mineral Survey Tool and look for it there. You can use Mineral Miners to get the same material and it is power too, but the fusion doesn't use power, so it is much more efficient.
I had a mineral miner on radioactive but could not use it as "power" in a harvester.
Do I set the fusion generator on a radioactive source and it converts it to power or do I need to use a mineral minerto feed radioactives to the generator. (or does the fusion act like a mineral miner and extract radioatives/power?)
I use wind wind generators (BER 9 which I can make as a master artisan) but solar power generators are the med harvesters but they are only BER 8 and both wind/solar has a max PE of 500 so why would anyone use solar?
From what I've read the PE on fusion is 500-1000 and 1.5 X better then wind/solar but which is more cost efficient?
Been playing 2 months and trying to reduce the amount of wind gen's so I can do more harvesting without having to buy power.

fusion generators run like wind generators do. all you have to do is pay the maitnence and the harv will harv radio.

You put the fusion on a radio source and it mines the radio. It doesn't convert it. Fusions are really just a specialized miner for radioactive that dont use power.

There aren't very good reasons to use a solar now.

You can put a BER14 fusion on a 70% radio and get about 14k of radio worth average 21k of power. Maint cost 1440.
You'd need 4 windmills with BER9 on 40% spots to get 20k of power. Maint cost 5760.
If you can afford the initial investment for the fusion generator then I'd say that fusions are definitely the way to go.

Fusion is the way to go, they dont require any power to run, just credits, also though mineral harvisters can also harvest radioactive and the radioactive can be used in any harvisters that require power.

Thanks also, I've always wanted to crunch the numbers and you already did it

If you are sure that this statement is correct then you need to contact a CSR, any radioactive you harvest, whether it is using a mineral or a fusion harvester should be able to be used as power in your harvesters, there is effectivly no differnce between the resources once they are mined.
In fact if you mine 10k of the same radioactive with a fusion and another 10k with a mineral and drop both stacks into you pack they will combine into one stack of 20k.
So if it is really not working you should submit a ticket

The only reason I've found to use solar is that it doesn't seem to shift as often as mineral or wind.

Do a search on this forum for "radioactive". You'll find a lot of information. It turns out fusion beats the other forms of power every which way - you can find it consistantly in higher concentrations than either wind or solar and it gets a *huge* boost from it's PE (on average, each unit that you mine gives 1.5 units of energy).
If you put a fusion generator down you can get your energy costs down to about 0.10 credits per unit of energy - nothing else comes close.
