Thread: Low Grade Ore Density
Is it true that low grade ore will never be more dense then 60% I have seen this several places and wanted to confirm. I know I personally have never found it at more then 60%.
Any thoughts?
I had a 77 last resource shift on eclipse.. but it was in the mountains and the only thing that could be placed was personals.. heh.
Highest I've ever seen was 78.
The ore is just another way to nerf architechs because they know darn well we need the 4 billion tons of it just to do anything.
As for the wind/solar issue, whats the point of having more efficient harvesters when they keep the density low enough it balances out with other harvesters on a higher density spot?
All resources should have the ability to go higher than 60/70 more consistantly than it currently is.
I haven't had the pleasure of being able to afford interplanetary harvesting yet, but I'd like to think places like Tatooine would have quite high solar concentrations? If so it would be worth it to fly there, drop a couple solar generators and come back a week later to scoop up the loads of energy.
I also have yet to find ore deposits higher than 38% this 'cycle'...
Anyone know where I can find one of those web sites I hear about where people post the waypoints for high resource concentrations for each server/planet/resource? Sometimes I'll run out to my lone harvester in a vast field sitting on a 94% chemical deposit and I'm thinking, "I really should share this info", and other times I've got my ore harvester crowded in on the edge of a field full of harvesters scraping up a 35% concentration and I'm thinking, "There has GOT to be a better place but I can't find it".
highest ive seen anywhere on starsider was 71% before the resource RESET. OUr shifts werent qworking so they wiped em all out and started over last week. Now, cant find anything higher then 66% anywhere, and thats in the middle of a huge lake hehe. 65% was the best i could build on, and theres no room for anyone else nearby soo..
Other then that usually 50% is considered "Good" 70% is "great" and anything higher then that is amazing.
