Low-Grade Ore is anytype of Ore you can find. Carbonite, Slicast (sp?), Extrusive, Intrusive ect....

One important Low-Grade Ore you should track is Fermionic Siliclastic Ore; this stuff is the architect's best friend. It was one of eight classes of resource introduced for the Shipwright profession in the Jump to Lightspeed expansion. These eight are, accordingly, called "shipwright resources".Usually, Low-Grade Ore is found in wide, low concentrations (rarely exceeding 70%)on several planets. A particular type of ore will stay in-shift (exist) for seven to ten days, then disappear forever (except, of course, what has been harvested).

Not so shipwright resources. They always exist on exactly one planet or moon (except Kashyyyk), and in high concentrations, with at least one concentration reaching 96% to 99%. When they disappear (despawn, go out of shift), a new one in the same class will appear on one of the ten original planets or moons.

Finally, a shipwright resource usually stays in-shift two to three times longer than other inorganic resources, lasting three weeks or more.

What's great about it? Usually nothing, attribute-wise. The quality of shipwright resources is very random. But for architects, most of the ore they use is for Structural and Wall Modules, and quality doesn't matter for those, nor does their quality affect the quality in anything in which they are used, soany lousy ore will do as long as it is plentiful--and Fermionic Siliclastic Ore is as plentiful as any ore gets.

JTL ore is nice for mining, very true.

Also the carbonate ore is useful since that specific type of ore is required for generator turbines and those are used in many of our deeds.

Otherwise any ore will due.
