arch is cool but only way to get rich is to build your own harvs then lot trade until you have 200 lots then sell resources. cool part then is that you dont care if you sell buildings. i just give them to people i know, everyone else i tell them i dropped it and it must be a bug.

Define "a lot".

Making a lot of money in the game takes some focus and hard work - there isn't any "I ground out the X profession and now the money falls from trees".

To make money in *any* profession that supplies goods or services to other players you have to develop some"business sense" andfocus on things like:location, advertising, stocking vendors, customer service, custom orders, quality crafting, etc.

If your primary goal is to make a lot of money, then just build a booming resource business. You don't have to grind any profession. You don't have to run any factories. You can deal in bulk if you don't want much "retail" interaction. A friend of mine had a goal of hitting 100M credits - so he did a resource business.

It depends on where you will have the most *fun*. You can have a goal of a lot of money, or the best brandy in the universe, or a business that keeps you in credits while you go out hunting, or ...., or .....

You can make a goodly amount of money as an architect, or a chef, or a weaponsmith, or .... But you won't last if you don't enjoy either the crafting or the business part of it.

A guildie of mine defined rich as being able to drop 20 million credits and not break into a sweat. By that standard, I'm recently rich - if I'm standing naked on a snow covered mountaintop when I lose my wallet...

For many months, I've been able to buy what I needed (a few hundred k of ore, a good carbine, crates of food, ship parts, ships, etc) whenever I wanted. So by that standard I've had a lot of money for many months.

But if I wanted to stick some anti decay kits on a bunch of candles (something I first conceived of well before the nerf candle bug fix fiasco), I'd go broke pretty quickly. I can't afford to buy any stupid ol' thing. So by that standard, I'm not rich, only well to do.

Took me months to get to where I didn't need to worry about money....

Why do people pay to play a MMORPG but not want to interact with other people?
Why, SOELA, why? Did the entire management join a cult, and at the same time perform home lobotomies?
It takes less time to look at the stickies than to ask a question and wait for sarcastic replies. So please oh PLEASE ask the same question many times. I enjoy the sarcastic remarks.

Hmm do you know anyone rich enough not to care about dropping 20 mil? I've only known a few people who were like that.

Agree with that point.

You canmake good money as an architect but you'll make more as WS, AS or Chef and you'll make money easier as a miner.

I broke 100million for the second time since I played.. I was going to quit abot 8 months ago, so I gave all of my stuff away but I left myself with 20million incase.. and I took 2 months off and not I am over the 100 million mark again.. so it's not too hard to do.. just takes some time..

Architect is rarely the "I win" button for credits. The investment to establish a server-wide name is overwhelming for most.

If by 'fast" you mean within 11 months, it's not bad. The bulk of Architect windfalls came during the Player City boom.

You're describing making money as a cross server lot trade farmer. You can easily make money running harvester farms without being an architect.

Mining is certainly NOT theonly way to make good money as an architect. With time and effort you can make a good amount of money at this prof. And you don't have to be around for 2 years either, there are still sales to be had out there.

I have only been playing for over a month and so far i enjoy being an architect. I am not rich but if i want some quick cash i make some swoops or some medium harvestors and sell them in town. todayalone i made almost 200K selling stuff, to some people this is nothing but to others(like me)it isn't. Not bad for about an hour of running around collecting resources and a little crafting. Almost ever time i play someone runs up to me and asks me to make them something, easy money for doing nothing.
