Good afternoon,

After wasting most of my morning, I'm going to appeal for help (and I sent a CSR ticket too). Ok, I'm a medical Dr., making Stim Ds (or trying to), in my factory:

Power appx 1300 units

Maint 100%, 4 days paid for

Ingredient hopper ONLY has the things I need.. schematic for Stim Ds, and the crates for the 3 subcomponents, and the two organic/inorganic needed.

Ok, I remade the crates TWICE, and FROM the crates, I pulled out two biological controllers (needed), one chemical release, and one liquid suspension. I THEN used those, along with my stacks of Org/Inorg (over 1000 each), TRYING to make only 25 or so total items (stimDs).

I had 48 Biological controllers, 24 liquid suspension, and 24 Chemical release units (in crates), along with over 1000 org/inorg. My schematic was made from the missing items in the crates (for a total of 50 that I made), and then NOTHING when I put all the items in the ingredient hopper. I set my schematic (Brand new) for 100 items, which is verified when I look at the schematic.

THe Factory sends me a email, that it is stopped, made 0 items. Now, the Subcoments are made JUST FINE. I made a batch yesterday, 25Ds, using the same procedure (though different comps, and yes, I REMADE all the subcomps).

Also, it burns one set of organic/inorganic (14 and 18 respectively), and ONE liquid suspension every time it fails. I remade the biological controllers, and it doesn't burn those or the chemical release crates.

Is it just me, or are factories borked? I cannot for the life of me figure out why it isn't working. I quadruple-check the serial numbers, they all match, and have MORE than 3x the amount or the correct org/inorg in the hopper. It won't even make ONE when I tried to make just one (without the crates).

Any ideas would be most appreciated. Not sure how many days till the CSR can get back to me. Anything would help at this point. I wasted a whole day up to now trying to get the final stage to work.

Take the subcomponents out of the crates and load them in the hopper by hand. There is a long standing bug with factory input hoppers and crates where it will not take the items out of the crate.

Also, I don't understand how you lost components. Factories never fail...that's part of what makes them attractive for some items despite the bugs.

Well they do drain resources ,

if you put more then i had 3 crates it in it pulled used my organics and pulled supples out of 2 of the crates but when it hit the 3rd crate it just stoped so i lost alittle supples

I had the exact same problem this morning with my structure factory. I couldnt make the final manufacturing mechanism with only one turbine in the input hopper(it only takes one). Turns out I had to add another turbine to the input hopper (two total now) before it would finish the job. I also bugged this.

i am also having a similar problem, no matter what i do i get the 0 item email. it made about 50 then stopped for good.

Same problem. I think it's because one of the crates isn't working properly. My factory pulled resources (organics, inorganics, and 1 item from the first crate), then stopped working when it tried to pull from the second crate. I took that crate out and tried to manually get stuff from it. It seemed to do nothing at first, then 2 minutes later 4 items appeared in my pack. But I've been trying for an hour since then, and I just can't get any more items from that particular crate.

I tell it to Get Item, and it goes from 41 to 40, then jumps back to 41 again. I bugged it, and sent the serial number of the crate with the report.
