Is this even been talked about ? This is a muct imo.. A warehouse would rock.. Please .someone let me know about this .. and let me know your opinions

well any new building they put in the game would take building lots... so with this in mind the answer would be why not just put down another house?
factory input hoppers make great storage.
droids with storage compartments make good storage...

Yow! I sure hope so! I would be out some great resources if they didn't!
Grab a Droid Engineer and see if they will make you an MSE (maybe the advanced one) with 10 items of storage in them. I paid about 3K each for a couple of these - your server may vary.
They are not as handy as other storage, but you can call them in a public house or in town. I tend to put "project" specific stuff in them (resources for furniture in this one, resources of houses in this one). "Train" your droids just enough to name them, so you can tell them apart. They are ONLY there for the storage - nothing else.
Once you have a vendor you can also "store" things in the vendor (currently). They are looking to change the vendor limits and how the limits change if you go up. There is also an issue with things in the "stockroom" going away after "n" (constantly changing) days. So it isn't a perfect solution either and you have to understand what you are doing, but I bring it up because someone else may suggest it - it IS viable but don't base everything on this capability.
Store stuff in the input hopper of your factory.
