After that recent patch that caused 'unnamed' furniture (named with a space character) to revert to the default names, I had a master architect friend of mine conduct some experiments.

She made an item with one space character for the name, and another with two. The item with one character reverted in a couple days, but the item with two did not. So I got her to craft two of those new blue couches for me, with two space characters for the name.

She dropped architect, and today another architect I had hired to make some un-named furniture told me they are now getting an error when they try to make furniture with no names (two space characters).

Are there any architects here who can clarify if and how un-named furniture can currently be made ?

I just made a chest with a two-space name with no problems.

I don't know if it will revert but I'll keep an eye on it for a couple of days.

everything i had made with one space reverted to default names. Have never tried the 2 space name tho, hmmmm. Interesting. I just started using a single period for these items as now im nervous that they will all revert otherwise. hehehe =)

Haha phew. You made me panicked so I went and checked my two couches. They have NOT reset, they still show no name. They are two blue couches (loot revamp patch 1) made with two space characters for the name. They were made before publish 12 and have been through numerous patches etc in the last few weeks.

Using two-space names does indeed work. I just wonder why my architect friend has been reporting an error when trying to do it today..

I didn't know you could used "space" to name furniture. I have an arch friend who just uses a . (period). Hardly noticably at all.

Actually, it didn't take a server reset to cause it to revert.
I just checked the "single space" chest and it has already reverted.
The "double space" chest is still nameless.

What about using a hex color-code in front of the space characters ?

or just take my approach to it. Use a Period .

. that simple

. small enough ya can barely see it and the huge label won't pop up and get in the way

. Because you don't have 2 worry about it reverting 2 default by using spaces ( )
