Its a kit. You get the kit and can apply it to any harvester you want.
Our guild is collecting a bunch of these to use for our guild harvester fleet. Tonight I'll be building about 9 new Heavy Mineral Harvesters called "BER13 HEAVY MINERAL NO POWER" or something to that affect so we don't confuse them with the other harvesters.

Do you realize that the name you give a deed won't stick after the harvester is dropped?

Oh. Question about that. Can you apply the kit to an existing deed?

Murphy's Law would predict that as soon as you do, they will make higher ber harvs available....man, this reward is great, but so friggin hard to pick!

Also I'm assuming that "self powered" means you don't need to provide energy to the harvester. Or does it also mean that it doesn't use maintenance?

You apply the kit to an existing harvester. It becomes self powered. If you re-deed you get the kit back as well as the deed.

Actually Pawlin,
And correct me if I'm wrong, but the name does stick after I redeed it. Yeah, when you lay it down it changes the name to the generic "Heavy Mineral Mining Installation" but when you redeed it, it still goes back to the original name.
Our guild has a fleet over over 150 harvesters - and all have various names from the architects we've purchased them from over the months.

Once its back in deed form it looses the custom name and the name of the creator. It has always done that with the deeds I've made and I've bought a lot of used deeds too.
Least that is how it has always worked for me unless they just changed that recently.

Hmm, someone on my server just bought a kit for 1 million. I hope he realises that it will take an average of 400 days (if you normally buy fusion for 1.5 cpu=2500 creds per day power) to earn back that 1 million

Yeah, I wont bother with these. I never drop just 1 harv on *anything*, hehe. They would have been better given out as a newbie gift that lasted a total of 3 re-deeds, and could not be used on a heavy harv. Help the new crafters for a short time to get some resources without the added step of getting power.
I too think the resource gift is better. Imagine a 30k stack of Eggs! Or tat Insect meat! hehehe

Having soul searched for a good 3 minutes I have decided not to bother with the self powered harvy thing, or the 30 k resources thing ...
30 k as an archi is a drop in the ocean...... instead I have got the anti decay kit plus a few models to decorate the head office with.
Anti decay kits going for like 6 mill plus on trades. Thats a fair clump of money to fritter as I pls. might even buy me a new AV 21 with some of it.
