Thread: Gardens???

I know, I know, SWG's method of crafting Gardens (and statues and waterfountains/braziars for that matter) is wacked... you chose the final type at the last step... anyways, what is confusing me is according to the manual we have this nice array of gardens for Tat that we can craft but a lot of the ones pictured in the online (and hence uptodate???) manual don't seem to be available to us. Am I missing something? It would also be rather nice if SWG blessed us with a nice guide that showed us which garden was which size as they all look the same in the pictures, lol... but I guess that would be too much to ask also?

So, here is what I see as craftable... (btw I'm trying to craft gardens for Lok and hence I'm only looking at Tat gardens, although this problem seems to be spread into all of the different planets):

Large = Arch Circle & Desert Floor (hum, no picture of this one)

Medium = Stone Path and Small Wall

Small = Tat Palm and Short Column Arrangement

That is 5 of the 15 pictured gardens in the online manual... and of course we can craft one that isn't pictured.

Anyways, all sarcasm aside, any help with this would be appreciated. Am I missing something here or is the manual just totally messed up vs. what we can craft? Kind of like the Naboo small house styles being reversed in the manual

Elyssa has a Wonder Website that has the gardens on it

Thank you for that link. While I will try contacting her to see if she can shed any light on the subject, this isn't really an answer to my question. The web page you refered me to simply has the pictures of the Tat gardens, basically the only advantage of her arrangement is it at least makes it clearer which garden is which size. Unfortunately it also does not have the names of the gardens, which if anything makes actually crafting them harder as the game does not use the numbering scheme that she has used. Further, she also shows all 15 of the gardens that the manual shows but once again, there is no information on how to go about actually making something that does not appear to be in the game.

Starting to feel like I am the only Arch that has even tried to craft these given the lack of responses to this thread

I only recently got the skill to make gardens and enough resources for them. (Still not master so no idea yet on the Exotics) but I also found the information on gardens inadequate, incompleteand difficult to find.

If you go to the Advanced Guides Player Cities Gardens Player City Gardens

All are named here. You will find that the top rows are the large gardens, middle rows are mediums and bottom rows are smalls. Also, hover your cursor over the images and see the image file names at the bottom of your window.

I took pen and paper and made notes. Listed names, sizes and a brief description of each garden. Then I made a list of all resources and components needed. Cumbersome. Inefficient. Annoying. But the only way to have the information handy and not have to look in twenty-eleven-dozen places to figure out what to make.

What bothers me on the consumer end of this is that as a Mayor, once the garden has been placed, then redeeded, the name reverts to just Deed for: xxx garden... Grrrr. Do you know how frustrating it is to place, redeed and try again before I finally get the garden I was looking for? Or trying to buy one from a vendor that's been redeeded and now has a generic name? *sigh*

Thanks. Actually that is the same guide I refered to in my original post, although as you pointed out, I had not clued in about the three rows representing Large, Med and Small. However, this still doesn't resolve the fact that in game I can not make all of the Tatooine gardens listed in that guide. I can only make the two listed in my original post for each size. This seems very odd...

Agree that the naming default problem when you redeed is a pain, and as I said in the post about the wonderful Arch revamp they are proposing, its kind of sad that they are doing all these neat new changes but not fixing the broken things first.

Hmm. That is odd you can make only some of the gardens. I just made one each of the Tat small gardens this week. (Just waiting on some harvs to cough up more resources and factory making walls to make the rest and then on to the mediums and larges.)

The only thing I can think of is, are you standing next to a Private Crafting Station or using a Crafting Droid when you try to make those? I hadn't checked the schematic complexity on those, but perhaps they are ones that require a private station.

Yes, definately standing next to my +44.8 whatever private crafting station. It seems odd that the base schematic would come up at all if that were the issue. If you were definately able to craft all five of the Tatooine small gardens then I'm bugged and will submit a ticket.

Thanks for the input

Very weird. That does sounds like a glitch. There was this post a few days back about missing Streetlight options. Not all the choices showed up on the menu. Seemed the scroll bar was missing. Never found out if it was resolved.

Thank's man!!! That is exactly what was wrong. Totally threw me, about the most non-intuitive thing I have ever seen I must say lol... anyways, the clicking on an item in the pull-down menu and then using the down arrow keys to reach the rest of the available items is exactly what works!!! Talking to a guildie, he said something about crafting light sabers being the same. Go figure. Of course, not being of the Jedi persuasion, I will not be likely to ever know that first hand.

Anyways, thanks again for helping me sort this out!

I'm so glad you came here to post that question because I logged in this a.m. to come and ask the very same question! I've been trying for 2 days to create some of the Corellian gardens that are illustrated but do not show up on the drop down menu. I'm off to try this method as well, wish me luck!

Okay, I tried this last night, clicking on a garden and then using the up/down arrow keys and still could not find the missing gardens, and yes I was at my crafting station. I get the option for some of each planet's gardens, but not all. Am I missing something here?
