Thread: Just curious if this bug is still there...

Does aquiring Furniture IV still give negative structure assembly values?

Meaning, if i climb up the furniture tree, will my critical failures increase dramatically?

I know this was a discussion a while back, just wondering if this is still the case. Thanks.

That's theory, there's no actual proof of that bug.

I thought I noticed more failures when I was first moving up the furniture tree, but I have pretty much the same amount of failures now. I think one thing to bear in mind is as you move up ANY tree, and make better and better items, they have a higher complexity. As a result, you will fail more often.

Thanks terror

Well ive been making large homes and heavy harvesters for sometime now...just moving up the furniture tree actually. I guess i will climb and see what happens.

As far as complexity, not sure how that works. I seem to fail on the really simple subcomponents more than i do on the larger final items...maybe im just getting lucky.

Honestly, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Being a crafter is no different than heading to Vegas. Every time you click, there's a chance it will fail. We can beg the Devs all we want, but I think it's about as likely they'll fork over the secrets as a casino will.

I failed back to back on medium size chemical harvesters right after I got Furniture III, in addition to failing on one wall unit, and one generator also.

So I came here and screamed and screamed...

Then I read that relogging after you get furniture might make a difference - why? who knows, certainly not the developers!

anyway so after recovering from my shock I tried crafting a couple of days later, and I have had no major failure outside of one generator since. And I have crafted about10 medium harvesters and 6 heavy harvesters in that time along with a couple of houses and factories. Perhaps relogging resets things to be okay. I did have a couple of close calls though (5% quality results).

Problem with bugs, you never know what causes them, til the devs do the investigative work.

Despite my lack of current problems, I cannot quite ignore the anecdotal evidence, and think this needs to be investigated.
