So I got sick of architect after a while because the critical failures used up so much resources. But yesterday I save up a bunch of money, and bought a bunch of materials, figuring I'd give another shot at making some houses. I got a skill enhancment with plus 2 to structure assembly, leveled in furniture, and I upraded all my tools witht the highest conductivity materials and I'm am master artisan so they were maxed out on experimentation. Then I made a crafting station again with high conductivity, maxed out experimentation and I even put in ALL the optional components. After all this I was sure I had all but eradicated my chance for failures.

Apperently not as my failure rate (based on lost materials) was about 70%. I lost numerous structural modules, a wall, and critical failed on 2 medium houses before I finally got the third one out in one piece. What gives? I am out of skill points and when I level in something next, the skill points will be coming out of architect, this is ridiculous.

I m pretty sure tools do something but I don t have proofs ...

I personnaly failed 2 pa halls, two medium house and alot of other things since I m master.

I m still surprised with our +55 structure assembly instead of +100 as other masters in other profession get...

ive found with my 89% crafting station and tools, that the tools dont do much in the way of crafting, but help tremendously help with experimentation.

I did this test with 3 structure tools and a a complete crafting station.

Results.

Best Tool - made wall modules - got great success on assembly almost every time at 28%

semi good tool - same as above

Bad tool - again same as above

The only difference is that when i experimented my success rates were drastically different.

good tool - good-great success with 1 experimentation slot raising to 32-34% duribility (with a few minor failures)

semi good - success to great success - with medium failures

bad tool - success with major failures

can anybody confirm this

I don't know about the tools. I've done all the same things to try to "fix" my fail situation. Since hitting master all I ever seem to DO is fail. I've actually officially stopped making structures now. I just make furniture. The average 20000 resources a day lost to failures was just not sustainable for me. Not to mention the bad attitude it was giving me.

OK, here's the lowdown on how to prevent failures:

1) Get yourself a 100 sided die.

2) Paint a couple of the sides a different color

3) DON'T roll those sides, EVER!

Problem solved, no more critical failures.

If you can figure out another solution, let me know, I have some money I'd like to spend in Vegas.
