Thread: Quality on crafting station

I know this question has been asked before, but how do you make a crafting station over 15%? Do you needfind materials over 90% quality? Does the optional componets required to get the quality of station up? Also how do you get crafting tool of high quality. I am a master architech, the highest station I have made is little over 12%, and crafting tools is like 9%... Any help would be appreciated...
The first key to high functionality crafting stations are the optional components, these are made by master artisians and novice droid engineers. The optional components are highly experimental based mainly on the overall quality level of the materials used (micro servers use a 33/66 mix of conductivity/overall quality). For the final combine you must use high conductivity metal in the station.
Using resources that are all over 900 overall quality (+700/+800 for microservers) for the subcomponents and 999 conductivity copper for the final I'm currently making crafting stations with functionality +41.76, I'm still searching for the perfect high conductivity high overall qualtiy metals for the micro servers which are my biggest flaw I only get a 84% experimental efficency on those at the moment the rest of my components range from 94%-99%.
Crafting tools are all in the conductivity of the metal using the above mentioned 999 copper we are getting tools that rate +14.97.
I horde materials like mad and sock them away from shift to shift in a do not touch for anything but crafting stations bag ![]()
I'm on Kettemoor and I'm making +42.3 stations right now with an exotic mix of incredible resources. My Micro sensor suites end up at 89%.

Quality is key with the crafting station. I do the same as the above subscriber, I hoard like mad. I also look on the bazaar for resource qualities. I buy them if they are a good price and save them. Sometimes I will contact the seller and see if they have more. I make a lot of deals this way since I don't have enough lots to harvest the mounds of ore you need as an architect and all the good stuff as well.
Right now my stations are FR 43.4, the highest that I have seen thus far. I am on Valcyn.
Good luck!

i can make 38 quality crafting stations.... all u need are super conductive copper for the base metal, and the subcomponents to be fully made with the highest quality materials u can find and full experimentation.

Does it also help to go up the Construction Tree in Architect for better experimentation results?
Yes but this only affects the final crafting station. All the other parts are made from artisan and droid tree, so those would require artisan and droid experimentation points. Although I think it depends on the novice level in some cases.
I to am just now breaking the 40 Barrier on Kettemoor. The 33/66 copper issue on micro suites is my only hang up at this time. But 40.58 with junk copper aint so bad.
.
Actually, architect experimentation has zero effect on the crafting station. Experimenting on a crafting station uses your artisan experimentation level, so if you intend to go into the business of making crafting stations, Master Artisan is a must. What affects quality of a station:
Base Station: 100% Conductivity, 15 point cap
Droid Storage Compartment: 100% Quality, +5 points max (artisan experimentation too)
Control Units: 100% Quality, +5 points max
Micro Sensor Suite: 66% Quality, 33% Conductivity +5 points max (+15 for subcomponents)
MSS Subcomponents:
Control Unit: 100% Quality, +5 points max
Electronics GP Module: 100% Quality +5 points Max
Energy Distributor: 100% Quality +5 points Max
From what I can tell, the MSS combine is bugged. None of the calculations I have done by hand match what it comes out to in the end. It probably tries to take into account the conductivity of the ore, or gas. I don't know.. but you are only realistically going to see 89-90% Control units with the very best ingredients a few months of resource shifts will give you.
With 99% Droid Storage, 95% Control Units, 96% GP Modules, 97% Energy Distributors, and 85% MSS, I end up getting 41.945 on my crafting stations.

I have just created an even better crafting station on Valcyn than I described above. It is the highest know of at FR 43.516586
I have the very best components, rare and not so rare, that I have collected in the past 3 months. I am a master Artisan/Architect. The % I get with each component are as follows:
Control Unit: 99%
Electronics GP Module: 99%
Energy Distributor: 99%
MSS: 88%
Droid Storage Compartment: 99% (drafting schematic created by someone else)
Crafting Station: 99%
Listed them to show you what is possible thus far.

Do people the majority of people truly care about the quality of their craft station ?
I see a lot of stations on the market with minus quality on them being sold at the same price im selling mine for.
I always use the highest material I can find, and make high quality stations but when I tried to raise my prices people complained.
It seems that most dont care, or they wouldnt be buying the crappy ones or complaining of my higher prices.
(I've only had one person make a positive comment of the quality of my craft stations)

Well, since it hasn't been really proven by anything but anecdotal evidence (to my knowledge) that effectiveness has a real effect on crafting success, no, the *majority* isn't going to pay large sums of money for these. But there are enough people out there with cash to spare who either believe it or just want one as a vanity item ("my station is better than yours") to support the market. If you're creating stations in the high 30s or above, you should be able to get a good price for them. Lower-effectiveness (15 and below) stations will all hover around the same, more standard prices.
