Hi. This is my first post in the Architect forum, although I've been active on other forums since joining the game in Sept. I have some prior experience with crafting on Bria, where my Entertainer is a novice tailor on the side, and now I'm exploring Architect and Shipwright on Starsider.
The sticky FAQ has answered a lot of my questions, and I'm grateful for all the time and effort that went into it, but I managed to come up with one or two anyway. There are several items that give the option of experimenting on them, but the end results don't seem to be any different. If I get a critical failure experimenting on a structual module, does it really have no effect on the house? Furniture is this way too. Also, since houses have a set maintainance rate according to the FAQ, does experimenting on the deed make any difference?
A couple things from the FAQ: SWG-decor.com seems to be dead. The URL in the FAQ is 404, and I couldn't find it under a new address in a quick google.
Second, it isn't necessary to launch an email to create text for a multi-line sign. SWG has an in-game notepad, accessible by typing /notepad. Although using an email message might still be preferable, as the notepad seems fixed at a very tiny font size.

There are only a few items that experimentation matters and I'm fairly sure that they're all harvester related.
In fact, experimenting on things that don't need it just makes it take longer to finish the prototype since the crafting time is based on complexity and every experimentation attempt raises the complexity of the item. If you're doing it in a factory, it's even worse because the time gets even longer.

In my experience, experimentation on walls does nothing. Either for good or bad experimentation attempts. Makes no difference on furniture as well. And again, no for the deed.
Yes, swg-decor.com seems to be gone. I believe this person has quit as well, but the site is active. Try this link.

Does the /notepad work for multi line and colors too?

Thanks for the information, and thanks for the new link. None of the other web sites have floor plans, as far as I could find. Just screenshots. Pity I can't put a picture of the floorplan in the item description when I sell it...
