Thread: What type of Energy do Factories Require to Run?

I'm planning on buying a clothing factory soon. What type of energy will I need to run it?

Will the wind power that I'm using in my harvesters work, or do factories require something different?

Wind power will work, as will solar or radioactives.

All structures use the same types of power and all the power is interchangable.

Wind

Solar

Fusion

Radioactives (I have been told, but never tried).

radioactives are the power you get from a fusion plant, just FYI, i know i have 4 up. :-)

You can also use a mineral harvester to get radioactives, although you need to kick back some of the harvest to power the harvester itself...

Thank you for all the info.

One more question:
Is one type of power better than the others?

For example:
Does solar power work better than wind?

Energy is energy. One unit= One unit.

I might be wrong about this, but I think all the power structures have the same daily maintenance cost (I think it's 1440 credits). The difference is that some power generators have the potential to generate more energy in a 24 hour period, with wind generators being the slowest and fusion generators being the most productive. Again, I couldhave thiswrong but that is the jist I've gotten from reading the boards.
