Right now I primarily house my house like hermit crab's shell...I go planet to planet, gathering resources, and if I am going to be there for 5+ days, I drop my house down so I have a place to relax. Thus far, I have not bothered buying furniture because I so frequently pack-up and move. So my quesiton is this...

If I place my furniture and stuff around, then redeed my place, when I drop my house again does my furniture stay in it's place or is it lost for good?

Excellent question! Wish I knew the answer already. Given the buggy state of most all other issues of structures, admin rights, and contents, I'd guess the stuff will either be gone, or more likely, stuck in the ghost world where you can see it but not use, pick up, or do anything with it.

If your'e getting ready to move soon, might I suggest putting down one cheap piece of furniture, giving it a try, and getting back to us with the results? I'd reccomend something you can /sit on, like a chair, couch, loveseat, etc. That way you can fully test it afterwards, assuming it survives the move. If you can /sit on it, pick it up, drop it again, move and rotate it, then I'd say it survived.

Well, I'll be moving again in 3 days (my trade agreement runs out then ), so if no one knows by then, I will be sure to let you all know...

I'm almost 100% sure anything left in a house after you re-deed will be gone when you build again. Otherwise, people could use house deeds as massive storage containers, since houses hold 100 or more items.

I suppose as a test, you could leave something you can afford to lose in the house next time you re-deed, then see if it reappears when you build again. Let us know.
