Thread: WARNING: Don't drop the *BIG* statues in your house!

There are 6 statues. Of those, 2 (strange and wierd) are "room-sized". The other ones are HUGE. And my understanding is that ALL of them have their "bounding box" *much* larger than they physically appear. Placing the big ones outside too close to one another has already been reported as a problem. Even the small ones can create problems in a house if you aren't careful. I have seen situations where someone set a backpack easily 1-2M in front of a statue in a house, and could not pick up that pick.

I like the 2 small ones, and have both in my showroom. However, I try to set them up so there is nothing immediately around them, to minimize problems.

I made the mistake the other day of dropping a big one (the Gungan Head) in my house. I have a Medium Generic style 2 (with the 3 large long rooms). I could NOT pick it up. I finally got to one end of the room, faced it, did a /move forward 10 (and then /move forward 1) multiple times to completely shove it as far from myself as possible. Then I was able to do a /pickup.

If I had been in a small room I *think* I would have had a very serious problem.

So - word to the wise, don't drop the big ones in a regular house. I've dropped them in PA Halls and City Halls and gotten away with it, but if you are in a small room you might have a chore on your hands.

I had the fun experience of dropping a fountain in my medium tatooine house

i found myself underwater, had to move away, target, then pick up. but the sound of the fountain lasted for ages.

Hmm, interesting. I haven't had this problem personally. I used to have a Med Gen St 1 house, and I kept a Gungan Head statue in the very back room, as I didn't use it for anything else. It took up the whole room, and it was a nice effect when people opened the door.

And in my current houseI have a round brazier, that acts as my "grill." You can see the photo here: http://www.bsu.edu/web/mjohnson/images/kitchenA.jpg

Maybe it's only a matter of time until things screw up...

Actually, they work quite well in a medium Naboo, as does the razier and the round fountain. I especially like the working round fountain which fits just inside the columns. Very classy,

I had a simeral problem with the Gungan Head Statue. I found that by standing in the middle of it (du to the fact that when they are in a house the are not solid but when out side they are. this bugs me) and typeing /pickup i could retreve my items without a problem. I have also had this problem around crafting stations and the really big yellow couchas recently. Hope this helps someone.

I accidentally dropped a gungan head in a merchant tent! Meant to destroy it! lol

Took me 20 minutes to get a focus on the thing to do a /pickup command! Whew!

Guys when this happens .....just highlight the object and do "/movefurniture 2"....move it around the room till its clear of anything in the way THEN pick it up.

Is MercyQ theMercy of old?

So, are you implying that dropping the huge "Heroic" fountain in my Large Naboo house (no way it can be clear of everything) might have been an error on my part?

Oops.
