First, i did a search and didnt see anthing on this topic so heres my idea (it may or may not have came up before, my apologies if it has).
Now as far as i know, things like chests, dressers, etc. do not actually have storage space. Only backpacks, unlocked containers do.
Wouldn't it be nice for these things to have storage space AND not to count against the amount of "viewable" n be in a house. I mean heck, if you want a nice looking dresser in your house, why not have it serve its purpose.
And i really hope they are working on an z- axis so we can move object up and down.
just my 2 cents

Read the threads that the correspondent has made, also the idea of increasing the strain on the database by potentially amount storable in chests x limit in house is inane. The devs have storage limits in place for a reason. The only thing that will get into the game is having armoires, cabinets, and chests work just like backpacks or unlocked containers.

psy, like i said, you cant store anything in "chests" that you guys make, ilve radialed on it and no option, maybe im bugged i dunno, anywho, whats the use of chests and drawers if you can put crap in them?...
personally im sick and tired of going into countless peoples houses, crafters to be precise, and seeing only backpacks for storage units. They need to get the chests, drawers and other "what should be storage items" thier proper role.
just my 2 cents ![]()

Yes, and that opinion has been voiced...a lot. However you not only want the items to store things but want the stored items to not count against the items in the house?...are you on crack? The devs have a cap on items in homes and backpacks counting as up to 51 items for a reason, the database is strained thanks to the many numbers of items that it has to contain so increasing this amount many times over isn't really a good idea. They will more then likely hold items the same way that a pack will hold an item; so it counts against your limit.
