Well since experimentation is useless for factories and houses (although it looks like it may have had an intended function at one point), it would be nice to replace durability for upkeep cost. A really well made house doesn't cost as much per hour as a poorly made one. This could also pump some new life into the economy as players sought out more efficient harvesters/houses/factories. Just a thought.
