There are many different ways depending upon how you play the game, what you want to do, how much time, effort, credits etc you are prepared to invest. I think the best way is to read through recent (and even not so recent) threads with titles that look like they will answer your question. Maybe you would find more help by reading through the Artisan Board as well as a lot of what you find on this board will apply to players who have already reached novice arch.

Please don't take this as a 'cop-out' reply, but there are many different ways as I say and any one persons response may not be the best for you as a lot of this will depend upon your personal preferences.
