I couldn't agree more. I have so many deeds on my Vendor that doesn't have a BER rating

But, I'm not considered creator of my deeds since I have other guildmembers hosting my factories.

That's one of those live, learn and take your losses experiences.

Personally, I'd redeed each and every one of them. I've done it.

I agree it would be nice if we could change the name of items we make after the fact.

Bandola you might try advertising the deeds for sale in your servers trade forum and sell them in lots of 10 to people with the knowledge that they are misnamed. That way youcould directly handle communication about the name.

I had an unfortunate incident last night. I had made a schematic for Med Chems and run it through the factory. I was putting the harvesters on my vendor when I suddenly spotted that I had named the schematic incorrectly, instead of naming them as 10 BERs I had by mistake named them as 13 BERs. Now I know that was my mistake, but short of placing them all and then redeeding each one to get back to the default name there is nothing I can do to fix this, and I am not about to do this with 70 harvs, no lots free and at a cost of 210k. I took the only route I could think of which was to set up a new vendor with a name saying they were incorrectly named, but you can bet I will still get customers who will not notice this and buy them thinking they are getting a great deal on heavies, this will generate a number of irate customers. And who could blame them

My point is, why cannot the creator of an item rename that item after manufacture ? This would not only help out for mistakes like mine, but could be a useful feature for crafters who make a factory run of any item, but for one reason or another (customer preference maybe?) would like to give different names to some of those items.

Does anybody else think this could be a nice feature to have ?

I have a continuous ad running in the trade forum with my list of harvesters I have in stock, I update it every day with a note on what is in stock, what is in production and what is planned, and bump it a couple of times (not too much mind) that way all my customers, past, present and future always know what I have, what is coming and in what order they will be made, also by following back on the thread they can get an idea of how things cycle so can be ready to buy as soon as they are aware an out of stock item will be back on the shelves. These misnamed Chems are also highlighted on my ad, and I made the vendor a twilek instaed of the regular wookie that all my others are in order to ensure people look twice and read the name. I hadn't thought of the idea of block selling like you suggest, I will see if the way I am handling it works out first. Incidentally, I sold 10 of them last night without any complaints, so hopefully the message is gettingacross.

If any budding architects are finding sales hard to come by they should certainly make full use of the Trade forums, although I am well established, my business premises are in a very sparsely populated area, about 500m south of Kaadara on Naboo, passing trade is virtually non-existent so i rely heavily on advertising on the forums, on the planetary map, and word of mouth. I also have had many compliments on the layout of my store, which I took a bit of time to get right , but which I believe also contributes to my modest success (I currently have over 60 million in the bank, and resources/components worth at least as much again). If you are on Bria and find yourself in the neighbourhood then feel free to visit my store at any time, entrance is free (I cannot understand why anybody who wants to sell something charges an entrance fee, that is the first thing that makes me turn away at the door), and if you like what you see take the idea and make up your own layout, it really does make a difference.

If you are interested in seeing my ads follow this link to a recent thread, it is simple but gives all the detail that I want publicised. I do NOT put prices on my ads, simply because i have found that ads with prices get hi-jacked by lowball sellers, I don't want MY ad to give them business.

This is just to give some ideas, of what you can do with a little effort that can greatly boost sales.

Looks like I hi-jacked my own thread there, sorry Bandy !
