Thread: Getting to Novice How many resources and what kind?

I am not a hologrinder, although I am grinding like a madman before I actually do anything with my second character (soon to be master Artisian/Architect/WS with everything else in Merchant.). I have checked both the Artisian and the Architect FAQ's and have not found this information...


I want to grind up Wind Generators, does anyone have a rough estimate of how many and what type of resources are required to grind up about 70k of general crafting (enough for novice Arch and WS)? I have her at 3/4/4/4 Artsian so far, and I already acquired the resources needed to grind through Arch (700k ore, 200k gem). The trick now is just getting there.

If you don't have a problem with resources, get to master Artisan first, then just make bikes. They yield about 1200 exp per (yea bad ration for resorces:exp) . This would get you your 70K much quicker.


Master Artisan from 3/4/4/4 should only take you 60/4 about 15 wind generators + the app points.


Then to get your 70K would take you 58 combines of swoops. This would take you 377600 Ferrous and94400 Non-Ferrous metal.


Wind generators would take you 190 combiles from the beginning of 3/4/4/4 to Novice Arch and Novice WS



  • 8550 Steel

  • 1900 Aluminum

  • 3800 Non Ferrous Metal

  • 29260 Metal

  • 7600 Low Grade Ore

  • Carpal-Tunnel-Syndrome is most likely.

Wow... Thank you. I am really impressed with that answer. I was giving up hope on getting answers for other questions elsewhere on the forum... I think being and Architect will be a good move. =)

I did the wind harvesters, to save money on resources. It was mad easy, took about 1/2 an hour. Architecht took about 3 hours to finish. And I still have enough to go up whatever other Engineering Elite I want to try.
