Thread: What happens to existing master Armoires?

I have a few crates of Master Armoires laying around my storage shed (a deal that went belly up on me ) and also have a few sitting on my vendor.

It'd be nice to know if the artwork for these is going to remain the same, or are they going to be changed automatically to the new model. My gut feeling is that they will remain the same (which would be shame as they are all marked as "Master Architect Armoires") but would love a confirmation from anyone on TC.

Too bad we are gonna lose these. They are wonderful for med centers. I have about 5 or 6 diff names I use on them to give my buyers some variety. The stainless steel look is so perfect. I think I'll do a few factory runs before the patch.

Armoirs that have already been made are not changed. Only new ones. If you make a schematic of the old ones and run it after the patch, I would guess you would get the new ones. Hard to say though

Could have a problem if they are still in crates though.

Wait. Are we talking about the cool silver looking ones we can make or the master architech level ones here. I think 2 different kind are being talking about in this conversation. Please describe which one will be fixed. Silver or the brown one.

The brown one that was being listed at the master architect level is actually the mid-level armoir. It is now correctly schematic'd needing 250 metal at Furniture 2.

The tech armoir (cool shiny metal one) is no longer available via architect crafting. You can only get it by paying 1400 faction pointsto your local recruiter/officer NPC.

Thanks... that clears it up for me. I was getting confused there. lol

Now this makes me want to make a bunch of the cool metal ones. (I always considered those the "master" armoire, even though they are not)

I am guessing that if I make a bunch of the current mid level metal looking ones in a crate, then AFTER the patch the crate will produce the brownish ones. Anyone know if that's true or not?

I am going to make them by Hand and give them different names as I do now. Then I am going to store them in our PAHall. Then since they are going to be offered at a substantial collector's price, which would be less than the faction points cost, but definatly more than their current 1500 credit price tag i put on them.

If all they changed was the art on the object, then you will be able to pull a mid level armoire out of the crate just fine, but it will be the new mid level crate. If they changed the draft schematic like they did for the old scatters and fwg5's, then you won't be able to pull them out at all.

Although they supposedly fixed old crate issues in this patch as well so who knows.

Why are we losing these?

We are loosing them because they are the faction Armoir. IOWs, they fudged up when they were trying to fix the Master Armoir.

What are armoires used for? Decoration? It'd be nice to be able to store stuff in them.

Yes, they are for decoration only. We have asked for cabinents, chests, armoires, etc, to be functional storage containers. It would helpwith storage in Cantinas, City Halls, and other places where you don't want to "decorate" with backpacks. I know I need to use the storage allowed in my Cantina but I really don't want to use a backpack in there.

I hope the Dev's reconsider making these available for storage!
