I'm still new to the Archi/Harv Crafting and i'm just checking here before I commit...

Whats the BER needed ona turbo fluidic drilling pump to get a BER 13 Heavy Chem Harv?

With my 10 exp points and some good steel/chem I'm getting a BER 6 Drilling pump, is this good/bad - how can I get better?

Class 5 Liquid Petro
DR: 58
PE: 755
OQ: 922

Duralloy Steel
CR: 794
Con: 600
DR: 965
HR: 992
Mal: 382
OQ: 252
SR: 998
UT: 952

The DR on the chem is terrible, but I've got some other chem with a higher DR and it didn't make much of a difference.

The OQ on the Steel sucks also, but on the HR, SR and UT it's amazing... is 6 a good BER for a TFDP or am I gonna need some better chem?

BER 6 is the highest rating you can get on a heavy mining component. Medium mining components max at BER 4.

But you shouldn't be satisfied with just BER 6 or BER 4. Make sure that your experimentation % is as high as you can get. With that steel, you ought to be able to get 98-99% or very close.

The only stats that matter for extraction rate are UT, HR and SR. The other stats don't effect the extraction rate.

What % TFDP did you get when using that chemical? I can usually make 88-90% TFDP's and still get BER 13 on final combine if i am using high UT, SR, and HR resources..

Those two ingredients will hit 97%.

HR 25%
SR 25%
UT 50%

The chem won't affect it, without those stats it works as well as lube oil. 97% will get you BER13 easily. With a 97% TFDP, you should start out at 28% on your final build with a great success. You'll hit BER13 at 80% efficiency in the final build.

Thanks for the help, got one more question for you.

What about the Generator Turbines, do they contribute much to the final BER? I've got most of the resources covered with some pretty good stuff, but a couple of them I can't provide good resources for, if my Gen Turbine sucks, am I going to have trouble getting BER 13's?

And what would be the best result I can get for the Generator Turbine?

All help is muchly appreciated.

Generator Turbines have no effect on BER. In fact, you can't even experiment on them any more.

Cool - so there's no real reason to use my best materials in the making of them?

And thanks

Yeah you can use junk material for structure modules, walls, generator turbines, manufacturing mechanisms and small structure modules.
