I'm on Ahazi server and I've been generally making and selling my small houses for 15k, because its impossible to sell for anything more where I am with people selling for 8 and 10k, so I divided it down to about 4.5 credits per unit of resource. I used that for a basis on factories and got 60k. Well people are telling me this is too much but I honestly feel that its the minimum to pay for the resources used. I'm a newbie architect so flame me if you want, I'm new and everyone was new at one point. I would like to know what everyone else out there thinks is a fair price as an architect. Thanks.

Also what are you guys selling medium houses for?

As a fellow architect, I feel that what you're offering is a fair price. Too bad I can't even get 4.5 on Chilastra. I might get 3.5 if I'm lucky. I think a lot has to do with the fact that people don't take all your expenses, time and crits into consideration. They also don't realize how many resources you actually need to build something.

Usually when I'm quoting a price to someone, it's always in the form of:

"My rates are 3.5 credits per resouce to cover my expsenses, time, skills and criticals. A Medium House requires 20600 resources and my asking price is 72k."

I shouldn't have to go to that extent to justify myself.. but when I get responses like: "r u kidding?" I have the opportunity to follow up with:

"I'm willing to help you out at a reduced price if you can provide all the resources, including some extra to cover prossible criticals. I'll alsobe happy to mail you the breakdown needed so you can get started on collecting."

Sometimes theyrealize that it would be more time-efficient to pay the amount for a product I can give them almost on the spot, and one that criticals have already been factored into the total cost, than to spend the week surveying or buying at an inflated price off the Bazaar.

Some people really appreciate receiving the resource breakdown in their mail. They can keep it and referrence it later. Also, some people come to respect what it takes, once they fully understand what it takes.

It changes from server to server. 60k isn't too much except for the fact that there are some idiots out there that sell them for 30-40k. And even if they can't keep up with orders, other people expect to be able to buy them for that price from everyone.

The architects market is pretty much horrible. I've actually heard of some servers selling medium houses at a good pace at 90K. On eclipse I have yet to sell one for 75k.

I tend to go 3.5-4c/resource depending how many factory components are needed.
