Thread: What doesn't Effectiveness Affect ... ?
I typically experiment on everything I build and I've noticed distinct instances when effectiveness (not to mention durability) experimentation has ZERO effect on the worthiness of the final crafted item (which begs the point, why bother). So, here's a list of what I've found IS and IS NOT affected by effectiveness experimentation:
IS: All Powerups
IS NOT: Weapon Upgrade Kits, Crafting Tools, Survey Tools
Anyone else?

Personally, I believe that at least crafting tools are effected by Effectiveness. You still seem to have the same failure rate, but your successes are better (on average). It seems to really kick in when you can get Effectiveness above about 70%.
I use +90% Effectiveness crafting tools with a +90% Effectiveness personal crafting station (with all the broken options) and regularly get "great" successes with (again, IMO) a higher percentage of "amazing" successes.
Then again, it could just be me...

crafting stations that have higher effectiveness are much better than those that don't
but for buildings such as harvesters i haven't seen anything change anything, they're all the same.
Good points that leave me hopeful, but I suspect what you may be seeing is better results due to your higher personal crafting skills - this is certainly true through the basic artisan levels in that you get consistently better successes the further up any tree you go in basic artisan. I suspect too that the same may be true of specialized crrafters (weaponsmith, tailor, etc),
Something else I've noticed is that I actually start getting better results as I gain more XP for those items in the boxes I've already got. So for example, if I can craft DL18's as novice weaponsmith and Scout Blasters with Ranged Weapon Crafting I, as I get more XP towards Ranged Weapon Crafting II I'm getting consistently better results on crafting and experimenting DL18's, and to a lesser extetn Scout Blasters - the "breakpoint" seems to be at between 1/3 and 1/2 of the XP required towards the next level. Only a theory, difficult to proove.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with higher effectiveness crafting stations adn tools? I'm going to build new crafting tools tonight to check it out as best as I can.
Of course, without being able to tell the effectiveness of crafting stations you buy - or those on driods - there's no telling. Sadly, I suspect that the trend seems to simply build a generic station\driod w/o experimentation and sell it regardless of the question of how effective it is.
To which, if there are any artisans on Bloodfin willing to sell very high effectivenes (90%) weapon crafting stations or droids with crafting stations - or if anyone can recommend one, send an email to Ackepawa. I'm on Tatooine but more than willing to travel if justified.
