Thread: Structure factory eating resources and subcomponents.

Two factory bugs have reared their head here. First, factories ignore one of each component in the input hopper. So, if you want to make 3 power cores, you need 4 generators, and 4 of the master artisan components in the hopper as well, since it will ignore 1 of each. This only applies to components.

Second bug is that a factory will sometimes eat some of the resources for an item before realizing it can't finish it (or in your case thinking it can't finish it because of the ignore-one-item bug). So, never put more resources than you need to make the number you want to make (except components, always put +1 in there).

So if you put enough resources for 3 cores, and 4 generators, and 4 of the MA components, you should get 3 power cores, and 1 generator and 1 of each of theMA components left in the input hopper.

I noticed that too.. If your schematic need 10 ID structures and put 9 ID + 1 non ID and maybe 150k ressources, you will never have your sturcture and you are going to lose your 150k minerals hehe. It will try to make the structure as long as there is no more minerals.

I lost about 4 fusion power generator to that bug and a bunch of other stuff as well. I has been out for 1+week now and it isn't fixed yet. Gj devs -.-

this same thing had me crying in my beer all night.

I even thought i figured it out by adding extra Turbines but then it ate the MA pieces.

So what the 2nd guy said makes sence and thanks i have to try again tonight.

so for 3 Power cores i need 4 turbines 4 of each of the MAs and 3x the resources.

I'll try tonight and report back when it works just to confirm.

I've never had this problem, so it must only be certain components. But I only use the structure factory and I make blocks and walls. The walls take 10 blocks each, which are constructed of course. My wall schematic does not need matching blocks, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I've made about 12 walls in the factory so far, never lost a block or anything else to it. Just made 5 last night in one run, loaded 50 blocks (most matched,1 did not), got 5 walls out. Am I just lucky, or is there something more here.

Thanks folks. Now I know. Too bad I lost 2 power generators. Ugh.

My structure factory is eating ingredients and not producing all the items it should.

I am attempting to make power cores for a PA Hall. I know I need generators, energy distributors, and power conditioners from factories. I have them all. I placed 3 of each in the input hopper, along with the 3 resource types the power core needs and started the process.

Much time went by, much longer than I would have expected, and I finally got an email saying that the process had stopped and only 1 power core was made. Perplexed, I looked in the input hopper and I saw that the resources for 2 more power cores were there, except for a generator. Th efactory had eaten an extra generator. No sign of it.

I started the factory again, and again it failed, eating everything in the hopper except for 2 power conditioners and 2 energy distributors.

Undaunted, I gathered up resources for 4 more attempts. Once again, the factory failed to produce the 4 power cores. This time it made 3, but ate all the resources for the last, except for a power conditioner anda energy distributor.

Anyone else seen this? I /bug'ed it in hopes someone at SOE sees it.
