Thread: Aspiring Arch. and Weaponsmith..
Once you get the Novice skill the XP changes...
If you go Weaponsmith the xp required is now Weapon Crafting XP.
If you go Architect the xp required is Structural Crafting XP.
This should sum up your question...
Master Artisan/Novice Architect

Actually I'd go arch first. Make an equipment factory which you get at novice architect. Use it to grind out cdefs or whatever while you sample nearby for the gcxp. It's slower than you grinding, but I'm a big fan of less mouse clicks.
Remember, you or someone else has to be in the area of the factory for you to get the xp.
I also am a dual master wannabe. I got both novices skills by gritting my teeth and grinding kits.
If I could start over again on a fresh server I would go weaponsmithing first. There is more of a demand for your items. You get the giddyness of expirementing, and if you make the best stuff people respect you. There is nothing that sets you apart from another architect except your own natural customer service skills. Even then don't expect to sell something everyday. Lastly a critical failure as an architect can set you back a weeks worth of materials.
I'm not saying architect is bad by any means. I'm just saying that weaponcrafting would probably be more fun, and when you do start selling a lot of stuff, you won't have any problem affording any architect created item you need.
