i know you masters will slap me for this. but my worst so far as been a wearables factory. i learned the lesson of making sure to go up furniture first before attempting to make medium and large houses. i always feel like im gonna puke right before i hit the assemble button on something big. feel free to post urs here so we may all drown in our sorrows.

Medium house, while someone was waiting in the room for me to make it. He supplied all the resources for it also. I felt so bad i tipped him 10k.

Two Mineral Mining Installations in a row, right after each other.

This was about a week ago, though. Since then, I haven't failed on anything higher than a structural module -- and in that time, I've built six 'heavies', four medium houses, assorted medium and small harvesters, and a guild hall.

On a side note, I made all 17 wall modules from the guild hall from scratch -- only had 3 structural module failures. Just lucky, or have they toned down the high-complexity failures recently?

Someone ordered an equipment factory from me. I had enough structure modules for5 walls and some more. I CFed on the third and fouth walls in a row. Talk about sweat in my palms when I clicked assemble on the fifth wall. I got the wall and was I relieved...........only until I crit on the factory itself! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Long, long in the future, in a galaxy far far away, life will evolve on Planet Earth.

With primitive technology, these Earth beings will erect structures stretching thousands of feet into the skies, bridges a mile or more in length across large expanses of water, large floating battle fortresses, enormous dams, drilling platforms and mining installations. However, they have apparently mastered the art of avoiding critical failures, because these happen infrequently. In the rare event these projectsdo fail, it isbrought about byloss of funding or natural disaster.

Now I don't want to bring up the "how realistic are CF's?"arguement cuz that basically does'nthold water, but puleeze let us just CF on components, not final combines or in the least, let us retain a large portion of the materials and components when CF's do occur. If not, terrible things may happen, like folks will leave the game out of frustration, or of lesser consequence, suffer anerysms.

I just had a critical failure last night on 6 structural modules and a solar gen. Not a terrible setback, but I have made the decision to never, repeat never attempt a final combineuntil I critical a stuctural module.

So my new process is... craft structural modules until I critical, then the very next thing craft the final build on whatever large ItemI am in the process of working on. Statistically speaking, the first 2 or 3 attempts after a critical don't result in critcal failures (for me anyway).

I found the other night that I was almost able to predict my critical failures. I was building walls, and about every 11th or 12th build of a structural module I would critical. So I made my attempts stated above.... result 5 lost structural modules, in 12 complete walls. Not too shabby, much better than loosing 2k ore on a wall.

i always close my eyes when i hit the assemble button then slowly open them to see if critted. seems to have prevented a crit on a final assembly so far.. im so superstitious!!
