Thread: Patch Fix, no more UXP from using your own items to make stuff.

I didn't realize I got exp from components I used. Not like it matters since I hit Master a while ago. How much uxp did you get from lets say assembling a wall with 10 structure pieces you made?
None.. It refers to general crafting where you get xp for crafting with your own components.. I had to grind for a couple thousand xp at one time and did it with weapon crafters.. made more weapon crafter with them, destroyed the one I just used, and used the one I just created to make the next.. got an extra 2 or 3 xp per. Now using your own weapon, armor, droids, general stuff wont net you xp, nor will your own furniture, and it seems we dont get xp from deeds, so basically the very little us archies got we will no longer get.. o well..
Iremeber i was getting around 500 SCXP for making a maunfacturing mech from my own gen turbine then 2 more windows and i would get the 2k for overall assembly.
Using all my own parts in aa factory netted about 1500 SCXP before the Xp for final assembly.
If you want to know exactly how much do this. Assemble something that requires a subcomponent made by you put all the pieces in the slots and chk your XP total. Click assemble and after the first click check your XP again. It amounts to alot.
Just look at the test Center Patch.

interesting...the no uxp for self made components has been live for medics since the factory xp nerf/fix
sry didnt mean to troll on another professions board but just say the topic...
Wow, surprizing how few people have noticed this. Here is how it worked. I am a master droid engineer, and just starting to work on architect, but I assume that it works the same.
Basically, lets say I am going to craft a droid, and that droid will be built with 4 differant parts. So, first I craft the parts. When I click the "create prototype" button at the end, I get some experiance. Lets say two of these parts gives me 60 droid crafting experiance each, and the other two give 40 each. So, I have not yet crafted the final droid, and I have already gained 200 droid crafting experiance.
This is where the bonus experiance comes in!
Now, I start to assemble the final droid, using all of the parts I just made and some extra materials. On the material screen, when you click next to assemble the materials and parts together, you get bonus experaince for each part used, equal to 1/2 what that part normally gives. So while I gained 200 experiance before for just crafting all four of them, I now just gained another 100 droid experiance for crafting them into another item. Finally, when I get to the end of this crafting process, and click the "create prototype" button, I am awarded the experiance value of the actual droid. About 50 points.
So, In total, I gained 350 total experiance, and 100 of that was just free bonus experiance.
A fair warning though, if you are using practice, you only get the 5% bonus on the final experiance hit. In thisexample, if I were to just use practice on the final droid deed, I would only get 2 bonus experiance from practicebecause the final experiance hit is only 50.
