Despite my many complaints, I really enjoy being an Architect. I've been playing SWG since 2 weeks after launch (towards the architect profession) with the promise that "Any profession has an equal opportunity to unlock a force sensitive slot and become a Jedi." So for two months I've been going about my business thinking that my Architect character would unlock a fs slot for training on another server or I'd be a force sensitive Architect until my time (if it ever did)came to train as a Jedi.

With the recent unveiling of the ability to become force sensitive, I've tried to meet this goal....hunting for Holocrons. I've trained as Novice Pistoleer and have a pet bantha............I CAN NOT KILL A FORCE SENSITIVE NPC! I've recently picked up Novice Rifleman but still have problems....I need a Graul or AT-ST to draw firepower while I spray the NPC....but I'm not an Imp ora creature handler.

How is it possible that a Master architect for several months _CAN NOT_ get a holocron, but a NOOB that trainsfor 2 weeks asa commando, with novice creature handler, and imperial faction for ATST's able to get a holocron with no problems?

And why were the devs like "It's been two months and no one is close to being force sensitive" when no such meter for evaluating ones goal towards being force sensitve even existed? ->You JUST need a holocron<- Complete lies until they figured out what to do or it was just another scheme to keep people around until they dropped the holocrons. SWG is a game of waiting.........we've been waiting a month for a fix in the Architect experimentation (why couldn't this have been a patch?), player cities, creature mounts, the list goes on.....

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind waiting for _FIXES_ but waiting for crucial fixes or decisions in gameplay is borderline ridiculous. I've heard that in the next update, they will make it easier for a Crafter to get a holocron.....but will they get it right or will we have to wait for anothermonth? They haven't even figured out that an Architect can't kill 7 stormtroopers to get a monthly badge.........

Why not just buy a holocron? I'm poor. I'm a solo architect. I'm not in a guild, I don't have 5 accounts, I don't have 30 lots...... The entire philosphy of a "Crafter Based" game does not exist in SWG.....unless you're supplying fighters.....fighters that whine about paying 3cpu for a structure then turn around and sell you a holocron for 3 million credits.

------Grand Conclusion------

The game pisses me off, but I'll keep playing because SWG is my crack and I'm an addict :/

I really dont get what all the fuss about JEDI is. Who gives a flying *edit* about Jedi. I would rather bea rich archatec than some stupid force person with a light saber who permadies. People are becoming obsessed with a goal again.Im 1/0/1/1 in Archatec, and it is a profitible profession. It doesnt just take all resources, you gotta learn how to play it right. First off, for beginers and NOOB archatec, Interior design ( furniture line ) is really your bread and butter money line. You can sell furniture anywhere from 500 to 5000 credits for the best stuff. Furniture is very profitilbe and hasmaxamum gain for minimum work. If you master Artisan, you can make torches. Torches are ALWAYS in HIGH demand. Make 20 of them place them on bazaar for 500 credits and they will sell VERY fast. I always look under furniture on bazaar, and NO body seems to sell them. I put12 pieces of 500 credit furniture in Bazaar and they were gone with 2 days. 500 X 12 = more than a house, and didnt even cost 3000 resources which usually takes to build a small house.

Also merchant really helps too, Advertising 4 plantary adds is great. And its all about building up a client base. 90% of the people that bought items from my shop KEEP coming back because they LIKE my prices they LIKE my variety. People really dont like change, and they stick to thier habits.

To summarise

A) Sell lower end furniture & torches which are in HIGH demand on bazaar. For each item on bazaar give a description of your shop and give a wp to your shop. This will bring lots of customers.

B) Sell furniture to build up a credit base, furniture = less time = MORE $$$. With this money invest personal harvs, once you outgrow their use,get better harvs and so forth

REMEMBER 1 medium harv = 2 personal harvs, and 1 heavy harv = 2 medium harv which = 4 personal harvs ( I THINK this is it, please corret me if Im wrong )

I see archatecs using 9 personal harvs and a windmill THIS IS A MISTAKE. The only reason NOT to takea medium over 2 personals is because Mediums cost about 10-15 kto replace if they are destroyed from lack of maintance. Personals cost 1000 , and your an archatec, so you can just whip them up while helping yourself reach master Artisan for those torches.

So its all about supply & demand. I hope this helps. It has really helped me as an archatec, I build a small house every 2 days or so, but crafting stations and furniture are my main income. EVERYONE wants furniture and torches.

Now that I have enlightened you, GET TO IT!

Oiwik Kalmor the Rodian. Final profession pending.
I love the NGE... don't you?

If my character ever discovered he had the dreaded Jed Eye curse, he would see a doctor to get rid of it.

I'm fine as an architect. I can support myself just fine. The point is that a person who is a Master Crafter should have the option of becoming a Jedi.....and they don't.
