Saw this in another post... and I am wondering, is chicken a code word for something else?

I have a feeling I missed part of a discussion. So tell me, what does using a chicken have to do with fewer critical fails?

He's referring to the time-honored tradition (derived from Santeria, Voodoo and many African and Central American tribes) of either

A) waving a live chicken in front or over something to appease the God of Computers (Hermes, I think)

or

B) sacrificing said chicken in a ritual blood-bath to achieve the same result as A)

But you have to be naked when standing over the keyboard waving that chicken over you head when you hit the final combine or it doesnt work. Cant be a dead chicken either, has to be a live one.

Actually, I think the naked thing is a practicality, Dayln. If you don't mind getting chicken-poo or large amounts of blood on you, then clothing may be worn. I've used both clothes on and clothes off and both seem to work just fine for me (just not for my dry-cleaning bill).

See even with a robe I fail, but standing totally naked waving a live chicken over my head I have never failed, not once.

Hmm, maybe it's the type of clothing worn. I've never worn a robe, just a spangly tutu, kneesocks and a tube-top.

Just to elucidate, roosters never work except on the harvesting mechanism final, which it appears is highly dependent on the virility of egg reproduction.

LOL, I think it is a pretty good one... anyway, does it work? If it does, do you really have to be naked? I would use it if you don't have to be naked. I gave up being naked in front of the computer since I put away that net cam.... errr never mind about that.

Gargemels love slave? You mean the scarey guy on the cartoon that eats Smurfs? Or is Gargemel someone that plays the game that has modeled himself off of the cartoon character.

Either way, neither sounds too fun(no offense to Gargemel), unless you want to paint yourself blue and run around singing..
