I can now make BER 14 heavies LOL. With them pulling these changes I should make a fortune !

Can we get some clarification from anyone making these +100% OMUs, please?

I have just two questions:

1. What are the HR/SR/UT of your steel / metals?
2. How many experimentation points do you have?

And, just as I was ready to throw in the towel, I did it too!!! happy-happy-joy-joy

So, I'll answer my questions for others as frustrated as I was:

1. I used only steel for my OMU. It has HR/SR/UT of 977/975/982, so before today it was making +97% OMUs.

2. I have 10 experimentation points. I *do* have the Architect crafter's apron, but only that, so I don't get another point.

I was in a Research center, with +15.00 structure tools and a crafting station in a droid.

I got 3 amazings and 7 greats, which took me to 100%. I did my experimentation 1 point at a time.

It's now a schematic.

I just made BER14 heavy mineral schematic.

OMU was using : steel HR996/ SR995/ UT989 and lub oil, 100% experiment result with at least 1 amazing success. If all great success then I got 99%

Final combine: Using same steel and lub oil. 100% experiment result with at least 1 amazing success. If I got all great successes and didn't get an amazing success then I got 99% and BER13.

Took 7 tries before I got a BER14. I'll also note that in those 7 tries I got 6 x ber13 with all great successes.

I'm a master with 10 experiment points and was not in a research center.

I used+42.x crafting station and +14.x crafting tools.

I tried and failed.

I made 6 ore mining units, all great successes, and got 96% max every time.

Then, rather than continue to consume my good steel, I tried making some new crafting tools with 999 CD copper, and 12 artisan exp points.... well, at 99%, 14.97 rating, and 2 experiment points left.... it wouldn't let me experiment anymore.

I don't understand how you're getting these BER14s. Is this a bug I wonder?

All I know is this patch, no matter how it goes, is/will upset a lot of people. I'm frustrated. Not horribly so... I didn't want BER14s to sell. I just wanted them for my own stock, to use. But I'm not having the same results you guys are talking about, so I don't think I should continue wasting my steel.

The keys seem to be:

- have good enough resources such that the weighted average of them gets you to at least 97x.
- experiment 1 or 2 at a time
- get 1-3 amazings
- 10 "greats" gets your "natural" 97/98/99 that your resources would dictate - you need to amazings to boost you those last few percentage points

It took me 5 goes at making the BER7 OMU, and one attempt to make the BER7 Turbo unit.

I made the BER14 Heavy schematic the first attempt.

Only had my 10 experiment points (though more could of resulted in a bigger hopper size - hopper = 110k) and did the experimentation in 4 hops with 1 amazing success and the rest as greats. Tool used was a +14.19 and the station was a +43. No Research in the city (as yet) and the steel used was UT993 and the other stats above 950 (with lube oil for chems and a nice >930 Intrusive ore).

Be interesting to see what the BER7 units give once the experimentation is rolled back.

We all have. Fusions are different from harvesters. Until today we haven't been able to get BER14 on heavy harvesters - hence the excitement.

I got the OMU to 7 BER on the first try, made a schematic, and then made one for both the HHM and the Turbo Pump. I tried 3 times (and then ran out of structural modules) to make a 14 BER Heavy Mineral, and failed each time, only getting to 98-99%. Just couldn't get the amazings when I needed them, LOL. I'm betting the 7 BER OMUs and such will be better than 6s after tomorrow, in that they will get to BER 13 easier--but man, I sure would have liked to make a nice little schematic for a 14.

Congratulations to those of you who did it though!

I did it! I was just too curious before bed, so I tried one more time, making most of the sturctural modules and walls by hand. Using 2 points at a time, I got 2 amazing successes, and that was that!
