This really depends on what the demand and supply are on your server. Prices in the 40-50k range seem typical for >+40 stations. I think it is due to an arbitrary 1k per rating point system that many probably have adopted at some point.
If I were you I'd search your galaxy trade forum and see who's selling stations. Check what their prices and ratings are as a reference.
If there are WTB ads without responses and nobody advertising good ratings then you might do better. ON the other hand if there are a few folks advertising +43-45 rating for 40k range then you should price accordingly.
When it comes down to it the price you set, high or low, is your choice based on your preferences.
Standard disclaimer: The economy varies a lot from server to server.

I bought my 44.5's for 100k a piece. I've never seen them that good, and I can't make them over 30 so I was glad to pay that! lol

A few months ago 43.xx and 44.xx stations on Wanderhome were going for 100-125K each. I think I paid 120K for two 44.66 stations made on Temporary Tuesday.

We have only two data points about crafting stations that I'm aware of.
1. Some guy did an experiment last summer/fall that showed (if I recall correctly) a slight benifit in the initial assembly and no benifit during experimentation. However, there were a number of variables not accounted for. He was a master and he was using very low complexity items (powerups I think). That leaves open the question of the effect of rating on higher complexity items and its impact on non-masters.
2. In response to a direct question from the Architects, ThunderHeart said something like "the rating is taken into account during crafting and is working as intended". Useful as teats on a boar but there you have it - the "definitive" statement.
Obviously the impact of the crafting station's rating on the crafting process is NOT dramatic, because if it were we wouldn't be having this discussion. However, I don't think we have any definitive evidence that says that it makes zero difference.
I only make the "basic" stations (with no optional components), and I send people who are interested in the ultra-high-end ones to some other folks on my server who do. I tell them the same thing - we have no evidence that they do a lot of good. On the other hand if you have the cash and want to make sure that you have every possible advantage, why not go get one?

Hate to be the party-pooper, but nothing's changed with crafting stations, right? High functionality station don't work any better than low ones, correct?
I've stopped making stations, because I can't stand the thought of selling useless items (plus, they're such a pain to make! More profit in furniture anyway!)
