Hi,
I was thinking about setting up a toon to basically be a miner. Open a small shop and sell key resources to the crafter community on my server... Not having tried the Architect profession before I am looking for some advice. Would it be best to get Architect Master for this task? If not what skills would be needed to meet my goals of miner? Houses and whatnot are not really what I want to sale..
Thanks...

I'm confused - do you want to be an architect who sells things or a miner?
If you want to be a miner, then why would you grind to architect? Depending on how many harvesters you need, you could easily spend more money and/or forego lost resource sales getting to master architect than you would ever make back.
Going from Novice Architect to Master Architect requires about 1,400,000 structure crafting XP. That means that you will burn through at least 700K of raw resources to get there. If you choose the "fast" way (grinding statues) you can do it in one evening, but you have absolutely NOTHING to show for it when you hit Master - you will have just burned over 700K of resources (so 1.4-2.1M credits). If you choose to go slower by grinding walls, you will have those walls ready when you are done grinding, but it might take 2-5 days that way, depending on your clicking finger.
So if all you want is - for example - 10 heavy harvesters to mine with, then just go buy them and get them out on a resource right now. You will spend 1M-1.7M credits on those and you'll be pumping up resources today.

Architects are not miners, miners are not architects.
Most archs run many harvestors cause they can fill their own demand and they consume so many resources its just cheaper. But there are many people who mine alot of resources that don't have arch skills.
That said, you probably might want to think this idea thru before committing money to it. The resource market is currently becoming flooded as hologrinding comes to an end and cross server lot swaps are on the not so distant chopping block. If you ran a small fleet of harvestors of one particular type (ex. flora) then you could focus on getting what ever special resources have just come in. There is a market of players who will check swgcraft.com and sample on every planet to find what is the new best resource and pounce on it. They don't pull in massive amounts or grinding resources but rather those high end, high priced resources needed by master crafters.
