I REALLY have no clue as to what to price my items at.. I'm a master Chef, and everything I sell is Bio Enhanced. Tell me, should I raise or lower these prices. (They are selling OK, but not as much as I expected)

Vasarian Brandy: 270k per crate, 10800 per single (Seems high to me, but last I heard this was the going rate???)

Stats are +412 to mind focus and willpower for 36 minutes, 18 uses, 50 filling

Accaragm: 220k per crate, 8800 per single

Stats are +401 to action, quick, and stamina for 35 minutes, 18 uses, 50 filling

Breath of Heaven: 270k per crate, 10800 per single

Stats are +912 to strength, quick, and focus for 8 mins, 6 uses, 67 filling.

Any info appreciated,

I would sell that for less than 200k per crate. I sell 21 uses for 200k...

Hi guys. I've been out of swg for awhile and coming back in. I'm on Bria, and rather than running my heiny all over the place and not knowing if prices are inflated or way to low for grind, does anyone know what fair pricing would be on houses? (Small, med. Large) I've got all the furniture figured out, but the housing seems up and down and off the charts.

Any suggestions?

Many many thanks,

Khiliah

It's all about your server economy and how you want to run your business. If you price low, better be able to back it up with high production. If you price high you'll need to pay attention to your location, advertising, and stock on your vendor. There isn't a simple number.

I've seen small houses sell for 6k all the way up to 20k

I think, you may have better luck running your heiny all over the place and get a feeling of the market in your area and what things *typically go for.

You sell too high and you will get fewsales - no matter how stocked your vendor is. Unless, of courseit's the only vendor around that has it in stock but chances are it won't lead to continued sales.

You sell too low, more than likely you'll be accused of "Architect Undercutting".

Overall, sales are targeted towards newer players (who don't have or are moving up such as from their personals to either Med or Heavies or needing a factory) and not those who've been around and already have their furniture items, factories and harvesters. Sales, are also geared towards newcity development and also the price of certain items (such as a Guild Hall or City Hall) should reflect it's demand and importance.

One of the main contributor to the latest demand and higher cost itemswas Hologrinding which is now ending. I suspect, there will be MUCH lessdemandfor Heavies, factories and resources and prices will drop.

All in all, a business cannot survive (for long) selling items at a loss so atthe very least an item can go foris all the cost it cost you to mine the resources. And, if you're doing it for free (breaking even) then there's very little incentive in doing it. If it cost you $100 for 3 apples, then each apple is worth 33 cents to break even. If you mined your own resources and it cost you 4k to get 7k of resources, then 1 unit is worth about .6 (point 6). If you bought 7k of resources at 3cpu, of course you can't sell it for less then what you bought it for (3cpu).

Also, if you're making 30k profit on one certain item, you not going to worry too much if your selling some other item (of much lesser value and profit) at lower prices.

Now, these aren't exact figures and of course, the higher the concentration you are on the less it cost you overall in resources over money. And, you can sell one item at a loss while you sell another at a gain.

Architects will need calculate their actual costsof mining resources and find an acceptable price they are willing to sell to both make a profit and continued sales. I think, that what helps set a GENERAL ACCEPTABLE price of items acceptable by most architects

are you also on Bria then? Small houses at 10k and medium for 50k sounds about right for Bria, large could maybe go for a bit more, but seriously there is no substitute for checking the competition. You don't have to travel far, in fact you don't really need to travel at all. There are 2 things you can try,

1. check out a few structure vendors close by where you are setting up, there is no point travelling the galaxy checking all planets, there are very few customers who will go to that much trouble to save 10k or so. At the most they will check out others near to you and use that as a comparison. If you price similarly then that is a good start, and as Zen indicates, if they fly you may be too cheap, if they stay around you may want to reduce prices or advertise more or something.

2. and this is maybe easier, quicker and more reliable, check which architects are online and send a few of them a quick tell explaining what you want to know and why, most architects are more than willing to help you out with this kind of info, but it would bea courtesy to explain where you intend to sell from and say that if you are likely to be in direct competition (due to location for example) then you will not be offended if they choose not to answer. You will be surprised how a little politeness will go along way towards getting the answers you want.
