Thread: Closed my Installation business tonight
I'm very dissappointed in the macro sampling nerf. I would rather they have reduced it's effectiveness instead of just killing it.
I can't have a factory and have harvesters going on all the different resources I need. Especially when one vanishes and I have to planet hopping to find it - and tend my factory and harvesters, and make deeds and deal with customers.
I had a decent system going with using harvesters to collect the most necessary resources and then macro sampling the others. I can't buy resources to help the process, they are more expensive than the prices I can sell the deeds at.
I have no desire to spend all of my online time watching myself sample, so I cancelled all my orders (over 2 million credits worth).
I had my system worked out so that I could make 1 high-level deed a day. And I had buyers lined up to purchase them, but I have no desire to sit and watch myself sample for hours in order to maintain that rate. And spreading my harvesters over all the resources needed means waiting 2 or 3 days to collect enough to make a single item. Not fun.
All these nerfs and new limitations are turning a game with potential into another Everquest.
I'm thinking I'll just sell resources. It should be better money with much less risk or effort.
It's the factory bugs/factory crate problems/disappearing inventory items that just kills me.
Well. I have 8 large harvesters going. With my factory, that is my limit.
There is one on steel, one on aluminum, 2 on power, and 4 on ore.
In order to use harvesters on all the resources, I need to add copper, chemical and gas. That means killing at least 2 ore and 1 power and buying power instead. That leaves me with 2 on ore. One of which has to be carbonate ore. If carbonate ore is not available on my home planet, i have to go planet hopping to find it. 2 ore harvesters on average spots means getting enough ore to make a large deed about every 2-3 days.
That's what I mean.
