With the new item limit, this becomes a relevant question... is there a medium house that takes four lots? Or large even... 2 to 6 seems like a large jump.

Doesnt really matter if they take 4 slots...they said max will now be 250 per house. Even for a large so would only be a waste of a slot.

It does matter; it's going to be 75 per lot now according to Q today. Two doesn't get you far, and 6 is too much to give up for a house... but 4 might be just right.

There is a 250 item cap. So, any house over 3 lots will only hold 250 items at the most.

Therefore, it doesnt matter if a house is 4 or 6 lots (it terms of storage space)

Im pretty sure most players will now own 3 small houses instead of one large. This will get them 450 storage units for the same lot allotment. Which is sad, because this completely invalidates the whole point of a 250 unit cap AND just makes gameplay for players that more aggrevating.

Well, it seems we are going to have to start building small houses again, large houses are useless. With a limit of 250 per house, large houses would be a real waste. Furniture as of now is redundant. Imagine you pay for a house to put what you can store in a backpack and a half, 75 items per lot.. It´s got to be a joke. Bad joke at that

I think I just want to throw my hands up whats the point to this profession any more. A house when I can use the bank to hold as much ....or near as much I have now started ove 2 times in this game and it just makes me want to puke what else they going to do not let u wear more then one item of clothing at a time it just seems redundent now

Well I hope u all enjoy ur small houses seeing as how thats all thats going to be made from now on if that ....Love the fact we can have Pets now just not houses or furniture shaping up to me more Like DAOC after all

They are supposed to be changing things in the hotfix so that vendor items don't count against your house item limit. So a medium will let you have 150 items. I've only been running about 100 items anyway, and that's with almost all the furniture items displayed. Also, they are changing crates to only count as a volume of 1 (instead of 5), so again, I'm thinking 150 items max is plenty.

The people trying to claim that it doesn't matter whether or not there is a 4-lot house seem to be completely missing the point of my question.

150 is too few, and that's all you get with a small or with most (all?) mediums. 250 is a big improvement over that, so obviously if you're concerned about doing the best you can with what we've been dealt rather than just moaning (which isn't to say that there's no reason to moan, but rather that a bit of time also spent dealing with the mess we now have might be in order as well dontcha think?), then we will obviously want to reach that level with the fewest number of lots possible. All of which would indicate that a 4-lot house (which I've heard tell of but never seen or made) would be as good as we can get right now without getting supremely wastefull.

But given the lack of responses, I'm guessing nobody has any knowledge about any house taking 4 lots.... that's such a huge gap though (jumping from 2 all the way to 6 lots with nothing in-between).

You get 300 items, nice little workaround for the 250 item per housecap.
