Thread: how similer is similer?
Similar means nothing really. Well, i guess it does mean "made from the same draft schematic" If an item requires similar components, you can hand make them, factory make them, change the names, use different resources...just about anything. As long as you have 10 items that were crafted from the Structural Module draft schematic (what shows up in your crafting tool UI that you double click to make) or a factory schematic made from that draft schematic, the game does not care what you used in making them, how they were made, or what they are named.
I name most of my sub-components aside fromSMs based on the final experimentation result i get while crafting. Don't do SMs because I do not experiment on them. I like to mix and match the parts that go into a structure...say put all the highest parts into one, and all the lowest parts into another ... and see what the final products turn out like. So far...not much different. But the game does not care if I put a "Wall Module 55%" in a slot with "Fricken crit fail on experiment Wall Module"...it still makes the final product.
