Can someone transfer you a vendor? What if after you have say business III and place one of the vendors, can you then drop business III or will the vendor go poof? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank.

To the best of my knowledge, you have to have Business III to place a vendor or have one at all. If you get Business III, get a vendor, and then drop the skill points and keep the vendor, it would be considered an exploit and probably would be fixed by the devs eventually.

That is what I thought. Is there anyway to make someone admin on a vendor so they can use it?

Great question. Unfortunately, not one I can answer. I will soon (w/in the next week or so) be placing my first vendor. So, until then, I'm not going to know the ins and outs of a vendor. Sorry I couldn't help ya on that one.

about 2 months ago, i had a tab when i placed my vendor called something along the lines of "vendor permissions", or something like that. it allowed me to, like on a house, add an administrator. however, around a week later, i killed my vendor and moved my house, and i've never seen that option again (not that it worked in the first place, it was just like the house administrator...pointless)

i have tried to find that option again, during placement, after initialization, and have had no luck. there may be a command line for it though... that might be worth a try...

/addadministrator or something.....i'll try it when i get home....

You can no longer share or transfer vendors. To get a vendor requires either having Bus III or knowing someone who has it that is willing to work with you. If you want a vendor for your shop, dont have the skill yourself, but have a willing friend who does you can do it together. Make them admin of your building and they will be able to set a vendor there. They will have to do all the vendor admin though, posting goods and paying upkeep. If they have the skill they will also have to reset ad barking and reregister the vendor every day when the server gets reset until that mess if finally dealt with.

So its possible, but you'll need a friend you trust with your goods and the credits from sales who is willing to do the work.

That's what I do for a BE/CH friend of mine. He doesn't have the skill points to learn Bus III so I placed a vendor in his home and he gives me the items to place on the vendor and when they sell I give him the money. It's not really a big deal. He lives a few houses down and it only takes a few minutes to place some items on his vendor. Plus I get merchant XP for having that vendor so it all works out in the end. Just try and find someone you trust who is willing to do this for you. Most won't mind, especially if you give them a cut of everything you make, say 10 - 20% or so.
