Thread: How come I can't experiment the extraction rate for my heavy mineral?

Hi, Just got installations 4, and was trying to make a heavy mineral. The base extraction was 8, but it did not let me experiment on it...I could only experiement on hopper size. Am i doing something wrong? I know I have puchased ones at 10 extraction before. Thanks for any advice.

The ore mining unit is how you experiment on the extraction rate. The final combine you can only change hopper size. Make highly efficient ore mining units and you should get a 10 rate. Use UT metal above 900 to be sure.

I just took over my brothers character (to use the lots)which was a master architect. I crafted myself some fusions last night and ran into the same thing. Was thinking that the experimentation on the extraction rates must have been taken out but I guess that's not the case now.

Does anyone know if its the ore mining unit that needs to be experimented on for the Fusion-Ion Generators as well?

Looks like i'll be making another 16 Fusions if that's the case.

All Base Extraction rates are determined by subcomponent extractors.

If you can't make them, contact me.
