Thread: A bit of a ramble
Holocrons...there ive said it.
At the moment i know of only one fairly safe way of getting holocrons thats doing DT missions..(unfortunately i actually completed the garm mission as i didnt know i hade to keep clearing it)
everything else seems to require fairly large groups and the generosity of the group or ninja looting(may they rot in hell)
there has been some moaning about the rewards for high lvl missions (you know the ones we cant do because of the difficulty) a firm favourite is the reward of an uber schenmatic for a gun or armour. YAY..hold on...the fighters get the schematic..only the very richest crafters could afford to buy it from them..the fighters get the end product and become even more powerfull.
and the dedicated but fairly solitary player (read crafter) is still at the bottom of the pile..very little chance of a holocron, high end missions out of reach. Lets go on strike ! yeah like that would hurt...reports of 6 hours to master architect.
Ok so SOE realise there is a little discrepency for holo drops and might or might not be looking at them..in the mean time people are unlocking their fs slots with increasing regularity....<points finger at some document> SOE have allready said there will be a limit on the number of jedi's, you can still open FS slot but may not be able to actually become a jedi if the class cap is reached.
Say SOE decide tomorrow to make holo's more freely available to crafters...it will take the pwr gamers 6 hours to become a crafter..the jedi cap will be hit..and the crafters will have to wait forever and a day (if at all ) to become a jedi.
didnt know where else to post this , but im an architect and i suppose its just as pertinent to us as any other crafter.
As I understand it you don't HAVE to have Holos, they just make it (maybe) easier in that they give you 'clues' as to which professions you need to master.
The professions that others have been 'told' to Master have been posted (BH, Dancer, Fencer, Swordsman, Architect for example) so ALL you need to do is Master them and then work your way through the others until you open your FSS.
The real question you have to ask yourself is "Do you want a Jedi character badly enough to jump through all the hoops that SoE currently require you to?"
To master all those professions if you are not really interested in actually 'playing' them might not be described as FUN. Then working your way upto Master Jedi is, by all accouints, going to be a VERY VERY long and lonely road.
mmm..dunno. i dont know if i need to master specific things to become a jedi or master any professions to become a jedi...holos hopefully take out the guesswork.
if i ever do get a holo and it says master doctor...well stuff it, i like being an architect , i dont want to drop it unless i really really really have to..or SOE decide to kill the profession (btw has anyone noticedany lower percentage resource spots?)
tbh i thnkjedi would be fun..more lots and a chance to do some of the high end stuff.
