I was playing in bestine today and I saw TWO (2) master architects at the same time! I think the devs should double or triple the xp it takes to become master, otherwise there will be too many houses.

The damage is already done. SOE stated a while ago that Architect is the 2nd most mastered profession after CH.

there has to be at least 100 master archs on sunrunner. everyday i see 3 or 4 tags running around, and DONT reckognize the name...

Maybe the fact that you can master it in under 3 hours could be one of the reasons. I was bored this morning and wanted to add something else to my "mastered since holocrons went silent" list, so cranked this one out in time at all.
