I tally it by assuming general prices for hide and the raw materials. I also add in cost for how much I expect to need to stay in business... to a point.
Furniture is actually a little bit of a grey area for me. If I can get back 2x my material investment to build the furniture, I can keep steady sales to give me some disposable income along with my major sales from architect items. Some items I make back a little more than 100% profit, others less so. For a while I have been using a price list a friend had done up for his furniture, and so far it works rather well. I'm not charging exorbinate ammounts for these decorations, and I offer items with various names to give more life to a home than "Couch" does.
The way I typically do this is, figure profit margins at near midrange costs to buy things, and then buy at the low price range whenever you can. You'll see deals on metals and hides... just scour the bazaar and other people's vendors. That way, even if you're not figuring out your total costs for doing business, you have given yourself a pillow to fall back on. But always make sure your total business model includes the costs on power for factories, maintenance for structures, travel and other various expenses that will crop up.

well i would wait on stocking to much on your vendor you all know limits may be imposed which will make it hard to keep a stocked vendor

I stated on another board that I price mine from 'economy' to 'luxury'. Same way if people goto Bob's couch outlet and pay $99 for a couch, or goto a fancy name brand store and pay $4000 for a couch. They both do the same thing, but some people want the 'best'. So entry level items sell for 200 - 500 usually and master arch furniture I sell for 4-7k usually.

5-10cru for vendor, 10-100cru for bazaars sales
. And most items going well. Of course if you use low QL recourses for furniture… New lamp may have different prices if you use good minerals on em, but they don’t worth such recourses.

Furniture prices are really up to you. People will pay higher rates for furnitre, so high CPU will work. Or if you want a high volume business then you can do well with lower prices. Just depends on the style of business you want to run.
Most important thing is a well stocked vendor.

I sell furniture all the time (usually spend an hour a night restocking from crates) I charge 5 cpu, 10cpu for hide and the 'named components'
Actually I charge about 5 cpu for all items on my vendor, including structures....

LOL. Man, I love this topic. I'll never know why people spend factory time and power running items at 5cpu, when they could sell the raw resources for 2-4 cpu, and not pay a vendor, or run a factory, or spend tme stocking.
I charge anywhere from 10-100 CPU, depending on the item. FOr example, the modern end table, I sell for 4500 creds. Plants are 2k. Metal chairs, 2500.
Can you charge less? Yeah. Butyou'll have to sell 10x as many as me. And without decay on any of the items, theres a very finite market to be had.

Well when I first started Arch, I looked and asked around about prices, and all I ever got was "well it really depends on the server you play on' the few places I've looked for prices I've seen on my server sells for 5-6cpu, but then again I cannot ever find a stocked furniture vendor.....

I base my prices at 6cpu and adjust upward for demand and organic/named resources and downward for unpopular items.
