Sell crafting stations on the public bazaar for an easy buck!

If you're a novice architect I have what might be a good way to make some money on the side.

I've noticed that there don't seem to be hardly any crafting stations listed on the public bazaar lately. This is the case on the 3 servers that I play on reguarly. On one server I was looking for a food / chem crafting station for several days and there were none available in the entire galaxy. There were usually very few stations to be had in the entire galaxy. Theres always a demand for these, since new players come in all the time.

Crafting stations will sell easily enough for 4k or so. You can make basic ones with a rating in the 0-15 range for just 450 units of fairly average quality metals. No need to waste 900+ conductivity copper or the optional components. Just grab whatever copper or aluminum you have and find something with mid level conductivity and then experiment it up as high as you can.

I put a few of them on the Coronet bazaar myself and they sold out pretty quick. SO I think this would be an easyway for novice architects to make an easy buck.

So you might check your own bazaar to see what the supply looks like. If there aren't many for sale then you might try putting a few up and see how fast they move.

I always found that on scylla there was no market for stations under 40%, what i would also suggest is contacting a Master Architect and sell him or her wall moduals, this will

A) Get you a bit of cash

B) Get you EXP

C) Get you some notice by a larger company or person that may take you under their wing or give you vital advice that you may not find on forums, this is helpful in the long run

Nice signature....how'd you do that ?

Here's my 2 cents.

Don't get into the Crafting Station selling business. I don't see it as being a lucritive business.

There's already plenty of Crafting Stations inbothStatic Cities and Player Cities. Many player cities will have them in their City Hall or the city Mall.

- No need for every player to own one

- not every player wants or needs one

- a good one (in the 40's) is a B..itch...... to make

- and they're overpriced (realistically)

Furniture is good

Factories is good

Turn the CAPs off before you start something...lol

Have either of you tried selling low rating stations on the Coronet bazaar lately??

I can tell you from my own experience that they DO sell. I've sold them recently myself on 2 servers and hunted for days to find them on a 3rd. So thats recent experience that there is demand out there.

Note I"m specifically talking about the Coronet bazaar.I've had a+14 station will sit on my own vendor at 2k for weeks on end without selling. The Coronet bazaar is a much different market from personal vendors.

There may be higher demand for 40+ stations, but there will always be people who want a cheap station to use in their own house as a convenience. However its not going to be a big money maker or a full time business. It should work as a way for a novice to make a few thousand credits on the side.

Of course the market may vary from server to server. The easiest thing to do is check out the Coronet bazaar.

I've sold probably 20-25M worth of high rating crafting stations.

I see it as a lucrative business. Note that it will take all the high quality materials to compete and you do need to be a master artisan to experiment them highly or at least know one who can do it for you. Also the droid part requires a master DE. Its not easy. But if you can manage it, then theres nothing else architects make that can easily fetch this high of a profit margin with good demand.

Yet again I'll note that the market varies server to server.

I think that there are two very different markets out there.

1. New crafter just getting set up with a house, factory, etc. IF they are in a city and that city has crafting stations in the City Hall or "SuperStore", then they might go over there. However many folks who have components and resources stored in their house don't want to pack up everything they need to run over there. I believe that these folks will buy +13 and up crafting stations for 2-6K each.

2. The established crafter with more credits who is working on improving their business and their crafting. IF they believe that a +4x.xx station *might* assist them in that, they they will spend 40K-130K to get one. If they don't believe it helps then they will just stay with their original station.

I have sold crafting stations on the Bazaar. At this point in my business I don't do it to actually raise money, but instead to advertise. I put my standard message in the description, and I send email with a waypoint to people who buy. For me it's all about capturing "new name accounts" - once I get someone out to my showroom and they see what all I have I probably have a future customer.
