Yes, BER 14 Mineral Harvesters were a one-day only event.

The FAQ is your friend. Learn to use the FAQ and you will be wise (or at least know some stuff.)

===========================
Q-3.10: What is the current max BER of each size harvester?

A-3.10: Current maximums are as follows:

Personals - 4*

Medium- 10*

Heavy - 13*

Fusion - 14**

Wind - 9*

Solar - 8

* It was possible to make mediums at BER11, heavies at BER14, Personals at BER5 and windmills at BER10 for one day when temporary experimentation changes were implemented and then removed the next day.

**It was possible to make BER 15 or higher fusions for a limited time several months ago.

Q-3.11- Can you make me a BER 14 heavy harvester?

A-3.11- BER14's were possible for one day only. We can no longer make them at BER14 and the current maximum is now back to BER13.

My best stuff is a mean average 987.75 (based on the 50/25/25). and I get 98%. My weaker stuff (if you can call it that) is 974.5, and still gets 98%. That is with my currentl cloths +9 assembly (+5 more from food), and +25 experimentation (+10 more from food).

Anyone try it on Bria since ya'll got the 1000UT Iron 6 months ago, and 1000UT Steel like a month ago? I am infrequent there, so I don't know..

edit: oops.. typo'z

1000 UT Steel or Metal for Architect uses is a waste in my opinion. I have some but not using it for Harvesters.

You max out at BER-13 no matter what so as long as it's in the mid-900's, you'll get it. The only thing being a 11 or 12 point Arch gets you is larger hopper storage.

You ****CANNOT**** still make BER14s - period. For 18 hours on March 16 we could but that is it. Remember that the *quality* of the OMUs and the final assembly are both taken into account in calculating the final BER.

On March 16 you had to have a **** 100% **** quality OMU and a **** 100% **** quality final assembly to hit BER14.

To do that today you would need steel with HR/SR/UT = 1000. Anything less and the rounding will leave you at 99% - which gives you BER13.

Acually on Crafting day 99% got you BER 7 OMU's and BER 14 Final.

I'm all for a reduction to 98%.

Anyone on Bria try with the 1000UT high secondary steel a few weeks ago?

I didn't have that fine-grained a control on Temporary Tuesday but I *thought* that I hit 99% and it wasn't good enough. In any case, my point still stands - you would have to have steel that had ((2*UT)+HR+SR)/4 over 990 - I doubt that it exists.

It does indeed exist, the steel our friend is talking about on Bria (Itoce) has the following key stats - HR 988 / SR 998 / UT 1000.
Pretty impressive stuff eh?

(oh, and I have a stock of it in the same container as my 1000 UT iron )

If so, then you could make a 99% OMU. You could then do a 99% final assembly. Have you done that? Can you hit BER14 *today*?

As Sevardos say, using hiend recourses for Architect is a waste. Harvesters don’t cost so much to use such recourses on em. You can make most ER-13 miners on normal recourses on 8 exp point… sure you can make big hopper size, using 900+resourses and 12 exp point, but will it help? On will it cost em much more? Nope, so why then make something better that normal? It pointless, like whole Architect Profession…

That was my point - the *current* crafting system either "truncates" or "rounds down", such that you can only get 99% / 99% - and that is NOT enough for a BER14. That's why I stated it as an "absolute" - I believe that you simply *cannot* get a BER14 today with the *current* crafting system.

I have not tried, I didn't actually think it would work, but in the interests of settling the argument once and for all I will have a go
