Thread: Help.. I'm doing this all wrong
Hi everyone,
I have just spent the last hour reading this forum to find out how I should start. I found some fantastic information but not exactly what i'm looking for so I figured "hey just be a goob and ask already".
So my goob question of the day is:
I have been a novice architect for a couple days now (I can't play much more than a couple hours a night unfortunately) and I can't seem to get my act together. I have building I and nothing else. I can never seem to get enough resources to get anywhere with anything and i'm just not sure what it is I need to do. I have friends offering to run harvesters for me so i'm giving them deeds tonight... but now I find that I will need to run factories as well? I'm SOOOOOOOOO confused lol.. (but you know.. i'm loving every minute of my total confusion).
So, it may have already been posted here but I can't seem to find it. Can someone give me a starter guide to being an architect? What goals should I set and how do I organize myself to optimize my short time online?
HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPP please?
Thanks so much

What's most important is that you do what YOU like. What is your goal? To master architect? Just structures or installations? Move up one branch at time or slowly up several.
You may or may not need a factory, and probably not right away at any rate. Depends on what you plan to do.
I like no stress play.. which probably sounds silly that I picked architect heh. But I love being able to build houses. I don't mind taking forever and a day to get Master Architect, but I would like to focus on Houses and Furnature at first.
Will I seriously need to do factories in order to make large houses? I'm trying to understand what part I should tackle first to get to being able to make houses and furnature. I don't mind taking a detour down factory lane if it is something I will need in order to be the happy carpenter.
Thanks for the reply btw ![]()

I spend at least an hour or two on my harvs every day. They're all over the place, you have to follow the veins.
If you don't have that kind of time, then you'll be fine. Just don't allow yourself to be frustrated by people way past you in the trees, there's always powergamers. If you enjoy what you're doing, then take your time. Set up a small shop and sell your wares, focus on the fun.
If you spend all your time trying to power, you probably won't enjoy yourself at all, so that's no way to play. Better to build a nice solid business, you'll be fine hon! enjoy!
Well with your time schedule I would not worry about factories for a long while! If you want to be a part timer I sugegst furniture. Its the easiest of the 3 construction collums. Small houses don't pay you well and require large harvesting operations.
