Hello my name is Tanook, and I play on the Flurry Server. I am not a full Master Architect yet, but I am mostly focused on furniture at this point. (Went straight up the furniture tree.) I have seen many arguements and I just wanted to share my love for this profession.

Im not going to tell you how much I charge for things, but I can tell you that it is alot more than what you guys are talking about and Im very successful. I can sale things most of the time regardless of price because of several reasons.

1. Customer Service.

Believe it or not I love to play my profession as it is my job. It is alot of fun to roleplay it. Here is what I do, Every new customer that buys something I send them a thank you email back with an electronic 15% discount on their next item purchase at my shop. This is really easy to do cause you automatically receive an email with a purchase. I then /tip them through the bank their 15% savings when they come in and purchase something. This works great because it gives them a reason to come back to your shop.

I always provide a money back guarantee. (Had to after we all found out that lamps didnt have a z coordinate attribute that we could change) and I always provide an exchange to the next level service. Trade in your old couch per se.

Advertise! I send out an email to all of my customers that have purchased something to me. In that email I will make some friendly jokes of course. ie To many people in your bed? Wookies got fleas? Come by a brand new Mos Eisley King Bed. We will even take your old bed for trade! Or I often have a piece of equipment that doesnt sell, so Ill send out an email saying its on special. The email system is a HUGE resource. Also, every email you send, put on a waypoint to your shop.

The customer is always right. Dont complain to them if they pitch a fit about a price. Give them comments like,I apologize for the price sir/.mam, but my ore traders were hit by Tusken Raiders their last shipment and we had to raise the price by 10% this week to compensate. If you would like to come back in a few days, maybe the price will be lowered.

2. Name and display your items!

Make your house your showroom! Put together sets of furniture! Give them themes! My furniture level 3 couches and chairs are called the Galaxy 500 models. I now get HUGE orders to fill large houses because people love my names for things, and they pay full price.

This to me is one of the best and coolest things about crafting. WIth the ability to give names to things you can create whole new lines of equipment and furniture. Make use of it. I can sell a limited edition James T Kirk Captains Chair only 5 to be made, for 300 more credits then what I can actually sell the same Metal Chair for. People love this stuff.

Change your house sign to show that you have something new.

3. Be honest. Keep your prices the same. Believe me word gets around that you sold something to DaBacca for 300 credits cheaper than what you sold it to LimBacca for.

4. When doing large orders, set your prices up front, and send your customer an invoice before creating everything. That way they know what the price tag is gonna be. Sometimes they walk around saying, I want to place a couch here, one there, oh and a large bed here, 3 in there. etc. Then you send them the bill and they have a heartattack. So communciate with them.

5. Become an interior designer. Say, HEY Ill meet you in your house, lets walk around and figure out what you need. THen you can add, Hmm I think a nice big red couch would look good right there. Want me to add one?

6. On top of all the bugs, HAVE A GOOD TIME! Make fun out of it, SOE cant give you everything. Make some fun your self.

Just to let youknow, my sales yesterday was 80k. Just on furniture and 1 house.

Please if you have any questions as to what I do, or how I do it, I would be more than happy to share with you. Leave comments as well.
