Ok, I finally built my first factory, I think someone on this board had said that it is only slightly slower than doing it yourself so I guess I might have my expectations to high, but when I started it up it took forever to make the first item. So I let it run for about 5 hours and I got probably about 125 items out is that supposed to be the pace that the factory puts them out, or do I have a defective factory. Does experiementing on the factory influence the production speed at all?

On my factory is speed 4 times longer then normal speed with crafting tool. Dunno if experimenting on factory deed has any influence ...
