Thread: Super Shuttleport?

Hey there. I'm my town's architect and I've been hearing a rumor. My architect friends are saying 'Oh no, that's not true.' yet others are saying the opposite. The Super Shuttleport, a standard shuttleport, built of prime materials, can be just like Theed Starport: instantaneous.

Now, I've never seen an instantaneous, dedicated shuttleport in the NPC cities. Never. All of them have required me to sit there no more than ten minutes. So why would they give them to us? Hell if I know, but it would certainly make vehicles and mounts irrelevant. Theed Starport is different, it's a huge place. Bigger than all of the starports I've seen in my many journeys across the worlds various worlds.

So, is this rumor true or false? And if it is true, please supply some evidence to this beyond what your cousin's friend's auntie's dog told you. In the form of screenshots or something else. I also ask that this issue be addressed by an SOE Representative, as they would know for sure. I really think of this as a priority question about the city.

Thank you very much.

Well considering they haven't gone live on the real server. No idea. Some cities will know real soon the real answer to this question.

I experimented on my shuttleport for kicks and got the durability up to 68%. I can't believe that archs can do anything to affect arrival time. I think that is someone pulling your leg.

I experimented all of my city buildings up to 96%, these guys are definatly kidding with you. There is no such thing as a "Super Shuttleport"

Okay. I built our shuttleport. Got it up to 70% and all of its subcomponents up to 70% or higher. I would have assumed that were super shuttleports in existence, it would have shaved at least five minutes off of a wait time. When we set it down we got the answer to that: nope. Still ten. So, there we go. If super shuttleports are real, then you need some god awful 100% experimentation and I haven't gotten that with a structure.

Actually I read this too in a Dev's report on player cities. I cannot recite the link... So as many things go around here. If you can't prove it it was never planned. There have been countless "Features" that I've gotten excited about that have never made it to SWG (Urban Planner for example), so I try not to "Count" on anything till I'm looking at it in game!!
